Rush to Ice the Game
#1
Yes, I know our quarterback is Joe Burrow and yes, I know the Bengals are built to primarily throw the ball. I get it.

However, the greatest teams in history use the rushing attack to move the chains and ice the game in the fourth quarter. How many times did we watch the Steelers or Ravens run Le’Veon Bell or Jamal Lewis over and over until time ran out? Kansas City does that with Isiah Pacheco now.

Dan Pitcher needs to get the run game going because Cincinnati has become far too one-dimensional on offense. The Patriots sat back in Cover Two last week and batted balls away. Yesterday the Chiefs gave the Bengals almost every ball thrown between the 20 yard lines but tightened up in the Red Zone.

It's not even to just ice the game.... Burrow and the Receivers can be potent, but for years and years now we've been crying out for a semblance of a run game.

It keeps us varied, keeps defences honest, chews clock and takes pressure off the QB... it's generally a 'lower risk' play than a pass play, and like you say works wonders when trying to close a game out.

We've needed a run game for years. I'm personally not convinced we'll find one this year either, but here's hoping.

Not with Zac and Burrow in the Offense. They are addicted to the pass game and simply refuse to kick the habit. Pacheco is dangerous with the ball on runs and they use him. 90 yds on 19 carries but that is only 4.73 yards per. 5 catches for 21 yds. Not bad for a 7th round pic.. Shocked And, he already has a ring with KC in his rookie year.

With Thuney, Smith, and Creed hell yes they can run the ball. Our PFF run game not good. “Zac hates TE’s “ 14 catches for 151 yards say big hiya doing there big boy. Zac is a huge efficiency guy. He knows it’s not efficient. Good grief look at Joe Mixon at Houston.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
