Im all for Marvin Lewis jabs but he never fielded a defense this shitty

His last year. 2018 Bengals D

32nd overall
30th scoring
32nd passing/27th passing ypa
29th rushing/25th rushing ypc
28th sacks
32nd 3rd down
21st turnovers

But yeah, I agree that I also wouldn't call it "Marv ball" if you have a terrible defense.

lou's fear of sending the blitz is truly killing this defense, the offense doesn't have to prepare for anything else but a consistent dose of the four man pass rush..he's doing absolutely nothing to throw the offense out of rhythm, no simulated rushes fake blitzes or anything just vanilla as hell and this can't continue we need a DC that's not afraid to come after people..

Lou is weak, he can't teach anyone to tackle either.

You gotta can Lou.

He’s ain’t been shit since Bates and Reader left. He’s pure trash. He needed a safety that erased whatever side of the field he was on and he needed a DT who destroyed games. If you need all that not to field the worst D in the league then that means you are a shit coach and that’s what he was before we got here.

You cannot force these players to undergo another worthless week of practice with Lou’s as DC. There is no faith in what he’s telling them to do because his stupid calls haven’t worked for 2 years

Hate to spend money on a new DC but if he is scouting you gotta fix this. It's been rhe Bengals number 1 issue drafting.

I say we keep this clown until the end of the season. We're not making the playoffs, and Lou's defence will guarantee we draft high. So let's ride the incredibly low wave that is his defence, and ride it to a high-end draft pick. Use his ineptitude to that advantage and fire him after Week 18.

Why should Lou or anyone else on the coaching staff be in charge of scouting?  This is why teams have a scouting department with actual scouts.  You cant expect the coaching staff to try to get the team ready throughout the week then also be tasked with finding the talent to draft when they are worrying about their gameplan and getting the team ready for the next game.  That is expecting a lot.  The Bengals need to stop being so cheap and get more scouts instead of expecting the coaching staff to get the team ready for games all week and then also be responsible for drafting.  How many guys are the coaching staff going to be able to look at throughout the season?  It cant be many.

The Bengals tiny personnel & scouting department along with their philosophy to force coaches to be more involved than any other team is embarrassing and smells of poverty.

Look if Lou is so great a team will reach out to him to be a HC, but I don't see it. He's been terrible this year
