That was true for the KC game. But he looked real solid against Washington. Had an 80 pass block grade before he went down. I think missing all that practice and preseason games meant he wasn't ready day 1, but had rounded into shape. Even if he ended up being a depth piece behind Mims, it is a big loss.

Yes, round is a shape and that he is. Many of us thought he was a high risk, high reward sort of signing. Turns out the high risk part proved before the high reward was reaped. Let's just hope that young Amarius Mims is actually healthy and ready to go, and doesn't get overwhelmed by veteran players and ruin his confidence.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Tough board room. A player gets hurt, it is headed for a vicious rehab and maybe career over and fans trashing him and acting like 3-year-olds.
I wish him well, I did not know him, but he is a human being first and a football player is hopefully not what defines him.
I am done with my little rant, carry on fellas.
2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Was it a one or two year deal? Either way I hope we don’t see him in a Bengals shirt again.

Goodness gracious, these takes are beyond bad. In 3 games Brown gave up 1 sack and 4 pressures. It's like you guys didnt watch the Bengals atrocious oline in previous years? Brown was having the best game of all the linemen when he went down. He wasnt Munoz in his 3 games, but he was super cheap and improved exponentially each game. Had he not gone down Im not sure when Mims would have his first start.

It would seem Bengals fans are quick to turn on a player, and it seems like it's always been that way. Losing him was a big loss this season. Whether Sims surpassed him as the starter or not, Brown was a quality swing tackle. I don't really give two shits about how PFF scores him, I don't see Burrow running for his life this season, and Brown was part of that fix.

It was a big loss. One that we will lament before this season is over at the rate we are going. Quality depth at these positions is so hard to find. We as Bengals fans should know this by now. I wish him well.

So uh... Glad our front office showed so much urgency filling out the roster spot vacated by a player done for the year? Hopefully they can make a move after they get back from vacation?
Really sucks losing Trent.
I was really excited about Kirkland. But not that excited that we are down one already.

There are 2 players scheduled to come off of IR next week. They brought in Guy Lawrence and waived KJ Henry for that spot. Brown goes on IR next week and Jackson or Myles takes that spot. They still have to clear one other spot. If they want an additional tackle then they'll being up Devin Cochran off the practise squad but they will still need to clear a spot.

Sucks about Brown but pretty much expected. Sure we have Mims but he’s nowhere near ready. Hated the freakin pick at the time and still do. Hope he proves me wrong.
