Dalton 27-17 with a middle finger that doubles as a coffin nail for the season @ 0-4

I don't think they'll run over the Bengals, considering both the Chargers and Saints blasted right through their defense and we managed a very competitive game with the Chiefs. Despite the Bengals defense laying an an absolute egg on primetime against Washington, our offense kept the scores close.

I'll go with something along the lines of 27 - 24 Bengals.

Who knows? Will the defense be embarrassed enough by that game to show some pride and freaking tackle? If they are figure the Bengals win a close one: 27-24. If not, Panthers beat us in another shootout say 44-41.

I don't "got" anybody but I feel like Andy will rip this D to pieces. He isn't a fast mobile QB but he has a strong arm and when he is on more times than not he is still dangerous. He was throwing darts Sunday and having fun. When he was with Dallas he came here and rung up 30 I believe in a blow-out. With Bears he was picking us apart till he hurt his knee and left game.

If somehow Lou and this D can play average and put some pressure on Andy they can win, that is if the O shows up and doesn't lay goose egg. Watch, the D will come alive and the O will sputter and stall out and score 10 points.

I predict ZT benches Burrow to see what he has in Ryan Finley.

I predict I'll stop setting aside 3 hours a week for this team if they don't dump truck the Panthers.

I won't be watching until they reel off eight or nine wins in a row. Only then will I tune in again. I will just follow along on here on the game thread from time to time. Just so disappointed.  I thought this was gonna be a banger of a season but it's looking like a Bungler.

Panthers win. Andy throws for 500 yards and 4 touchdowns.

31-24 Bengals

The offense will be fine.

The defense can't possibly be worse.

We either win or these guys have lost their souls.

I understand that the season is 17 games, but if we fall to 0-4, then you might as well write the season off.

Depressing but the air has been sucked out of the season after only 3 weeks. Defence needs to find some balls.

Bengals will win. Book it.

They had their historically bad start to the season, combined with a historically great performance by a rookie QB last game (fostered, I believe, by the Bengals defense underestimating the Commander's offense -- cue Cam Taylor-Britt's comments).

But, while the Bengals have clear weaknesses (like every other NFL team), they are still a playoff-caliber team. They just expected to win easily over the Patriots and Commanders and never gave the all-out 100% due or die effort. They have woken up, evidenced by how pissed Joe Burrow was after the last game, where he walked straight into the coaches' office rather than the locker room. And a lot of pissed off defensive players.

The win streak starts on Sunday.

At this point Id take the Panthers even with Bryce Young. I don't know that I'm looking forward to Andy pummeling this team but at least it won't be as painful as watching us make a rookie in his third start look like the next coming of Brady/Mahomes.

Whatever, I hate the current iteration of this team. Panthers today, tomorrow, every day until we decide to make some real changes.

Let’s think back into Bengal history. What happens when Andy Dalton has all day to throw? Big numbers; that’s what! Andy still has a chip on his shoulder because Zac Taylor benched him. It’s going to be a very ugly game for the Cincinnati Bengals.

44-10 Carolina.

If they don't get pressure on Andy and get him off his timing, it's gonna be a long day.

Depends on who shows up Sunday. Good Andy" or "Bad Andy." I think he will be pumped against his former team, however, the Bengals will get lucky and win, 24-21.
