With Hendrickson not as injured as it first looked, and Murphy getting set to return to action, what exactly were they supposed to do with Henry?

Must not be great if he can't earn playing time over an injured Hubbard.

Two year deal? Did the Cowboys have to pay decently to get KJ to leave Cincy?
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

Just means the Cowboys keep him if they want to. Highly doubt any part of year 2 is guaranteed, think about Jake Browning's deal where it was also 2 years but $0 in dead cap if we cut him.

I think the same thing, Cowboys would not have signed him to a 2 year deal unless they got competition from Bengals or another team in my humble opinion.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

I'm glad we were able to save that roster spot for Robbins instead.  Ninja

We are banged up on the DL. So what do we do. Play a week short with only 52 guys on the roster. Then bring back a punter from IR giving us two punters on the 53. And then our best practice squad DL leaves town.

wtf

It's not about playing time. It's about roster spots.

Who are you cutting to make room for KJ Henry on this 53 man roster?

We have 10 DLinemen on this roster. Rankins, Hendrickson, Hill, Hubbard, Ossai, Tufele, Carter, Jenkins, Johnson and Guy, with Murphy and Jackson coming off of the IR soon.

Or would you go 11 DL and cut someone from another position group? If so, who?

Perhaps you misunderstood my comment. If they're not making room for him anywhere and think that they're getting more out of an injured Hubbard then it doesn't seem opinions are too high of Henry. This doesn't appear to be much of a loss.

Exactly, he was only brought onto the PS because of all the injuries. With Murphy appearing to be making his way back the need for a guy like Henry is much less significant.

I would have probably cut Tanner Hudson before any of the DL.

Oh, I see what you're saying. Sorry, a lot of people were upset about this, so I read your post as more critical of the loss.

Have we had 10 guys that could play though?  Since week 2 with Hill and Rankins being injured, we have had 8 guys that can play.  Rankins should have been put on the IR to free up a 9th spot on the defensive line but the Bengals management didnt want to do that since we were just 2 games into the season and they would only have 4 IR return designations for the next 15 games.  Murphy may come off the IR soon but Jackson might take the full 3 weeks. We just dont know at this point.  We are very thin on the defensive line right now.

I liked the pickup when we initially brought KJ in, but he had no pressures and no stats with an injured Hubbard in front of him doing
more. Same with Ossai, they both sucked when we needed them to step up. I am more than fine with the Cowgirls grabbing him up
and like you say, not much of a loss.
