Beat me to it. I'm excited a winning manager is taking over. It's going to be interesting to see how he uses the positions players, the decisions he makes in game, and I am really interested in how he handles the pitchers.

For sure

I'd venture to say we'll see significant changes to the batting order and positions people are playing. I really am excited to see what we can do with a kick butt and take names guy leading the team.

I read that Francona will hold players responsible, well isn’t that a breathe of fresh air. When was the last time any player was held responsible to play the game it’s supposed to be played like. Like, bunt, advance the runner, hit the other way, base running blunders, miscommunication on defense, throwing strikes instead of walking batters to put the tying or winning runs in base.

Let’s see if he puts the hammer down to the players?

Didn't want to start a whole new thread about another team's scouting assessment of their opponent. This REALLY hits home with all of my complaining about the Reds severely lacking basic fundamentals. This is a great listen because Michael Kay says early on that he knows for a fact that there are many offices inside Yankee stadium that are listening to his program. What's especially interesting to me is what one of the guys says starting around the 9:10 mark

The stats were very even between the two teams in the World Series, but the Dodgers still won 4-1 because of basic fundamentals, which don't show up in analytics. Madden and EA Sports was the first that I ever saw to grade anything like it and they labeled it as "Awareness".

Tito has his work cut out for him with this team because their fundamentals are shit.
Only users lose drugs.

1,000 %

Couldn't tell you how many times I've thought to myself - "did these guys just skip T-ball, minor league, little league, H.S., College, Pro minor leagues and just run right out on Major League field today?"

Because this is basic stuff and they appear clueless.

Thanks for posting
