Fire Zac Taylor right now..
Zac has less killer instinct than Marvin. That’s bad.

Untrue, he killed what was supposed to be a 7+ win team so we could be bad enough to get Burrow.

Just before the season started after they looked terrible in pre some here were saying they would win 12 to 14 games and win the division. I said they would be lucky to win 9 or 10 and got ridiculed for even thinking that and here we are at 1-4. Now 9 wins looks unlikely as they would have to go 8-4 the rest of the way and that looks like an awful tough hill to climb.

My gut feel is that Burrow loses patience here and plays out his contract or asks for a trade to a team with a stronger winning desire than these Bengals. I know he said he wanted to be a Bengal long term but no Lombardi's and him getting older may cause him to change his mind. He will be 28 in Dec. His contract runs till 2028 I believe and he will be 32 then. I could be completely wrong but him seeing Patrick ring up the wins I think it has to make him consider.

Yeah, Joe called the run

But in case your motivation is to assert Zac took no responsibility. here's the rest of the quote:

Quote:..We called a pass. Joe (Burrow) actually did a great job getting us out of it back into a run because the look was not there to throw it.

Overall, Marvin is a way better coach.

Zac has Burrow though.

Marvin had Dalton and an injured Palmer.

If we are not on the phone with Bill or Zimmer, then this organization just has no desire to win.

I wish they'd call up Belichick. He's one of the greats and I for one believe he'd 100% come to Cincy, bc of Burrow

Man, if you don't even know the status of other coaches in the league, how can anyone be taken seriously in a thread like this?

The maturity and whining in this thread is ridiculous, sounds like a bunch of 9 year olds.

Go do something, spend time with your family, "touch grass," as the kids like to say, just grow TF up and look to next week.

It’s going to take a Bill Belichick caliber coach to make the Bengals a consistent playoff winner. Unfortunately Zac Taylor built this team to compete in the NFC West.

I mentioned in the GDT: If they thought it was a routine kick, like pushing for far more yards wasn't needed, why not try on third down? This would mean if they had a bad situation trying the kick on 3rd down, just lay on the ball and try again on fourth. That is what a TO on a third down should have been done to discuss and execute. Baltimore lined up to kick right away. You think they didn't plan to just swallow the ball if anything went awry?

Of course he would. It’s the closest he will get to coaching a player like Brady again. Make the damn call.

They would NEVER do it and he would not even pick up the phone from Cincy. "Block, Report Spam."

Yep. Zimmer is with Dallas.

I couldn't think of a less unlikely coach to come here than Belicheck too.

Zimmer was an ok DC here, but he wasn't some innovative genius.

Great point here.  I think Zac got cold feet due to the INT from the previous drive and called a shit pass that Joe didn't want to run.  Hence the audible
.
What's crazy is that Joe didn't call a timeout on either 2nd or 3rd down to get out of the play call.
You would think there must have been some bitching in the huddle.

Taylor likely lost the team on that drive as I think they 2nd guess him the rest of the way this year.  That won't be good for anyone involved
