The Reds finally learned their lesson and fired Bell. How many years do you accept mediocre?
Sooner or later, you have to move on. Pull the trigger and do something now. It’s not going to get any better.

Most predictions were the Bengals would lose, if we should choose which things we say were right or wrong, there's that.

Thinking like yours is why the Bengals will never win the Super Bowl. It’s ok to lose, it wasn’t as bad as, we thought it would be. Y;u either win or you lose. That’s it. Binary

If Joe Burrow doesn't have a near-perfect 5 TD day, we lose that game far more comfortably.
We did well 1st half and generally did well containing the run. But Harbaugh said at the half that there was plenty of big play passes opportunities they needed to take some advantage of, and they literally did so on repeat for an entire half of football. We went into the game with the plan to limit them on the ground (good idea), but the second they moved away from that, they just destroyed us through the air instead. It's not some wonderous success that we took away what they're good at, only to get obliterated in the pass game instead.
We had three separate double-digit leads and they all felt incredibly temporary because the defence had zero answer for the Ravens passing attack. The best example of this today, was them screwing up the Kickoff return leading to them starting the drive at their own 8... that same drive they ended up backed up at 1st & 20 (don't think that even became a 3rd down, they picked up the yards no problem)... it took them 5:14 to drive 92 yards, with penalty setbacks as well.
I'd love for the defence to turn this around... we only need them to be passable for us to be successful, but there have been no signs to suggest they're any good this year.

We let Jesse Bates walk for financial reasons. That's on Duke not Lou

Of course you blame the loss on Burrow. Not surprised by the awful take. Again.

We have the slowest safety room in the NFL and lacking talent on defense. That is on Duke.
Even with the lack of talent Lou has to be much better.
If we didnt have pathetic ownership, we should see if Vrabel would come asap and dismiss Lou. We should see if Mike Borgonzi would accept Duke's job and give him a real scouting department.
But we do have lousy ownership so accountability is not required.
Nah, **** that.. This is on Zac

Really, you're putting this on a guy who had 5 Tds and not on the unit that gave up 41 points?

Lou has had a few games in spurts, especially the playoffs. He has never had a legitimately solid defense. We can do better.
I also agree that we need to put money into scouting and better players.

Consider the source. Imagine being a Bengals fan and hating Burrow? Zero credibility.

Yes but it’s really not on either one. The organization was running scared and still is with these big numbers and Joe’s contract. The guarantees freak them out. However it is on Lou and Duke for the draft on defense and free agents. Of course the money factors again.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I'm called to forgive but the team not having even below average OL depth for the Super Bowl run cost us a ring. Duke had a hand in that as well as a defense that is either exposing Lou as needing his 2021 personel to function either way they both need to go....now.

Meanwhile, the Steelers have a barely functional offense and still win with their defense.

Yes Lou needs more talent like his 2021 personnel had. Do you believe you can let good players leave from the defense and replace them with lesser quality players and think the defense is somehow going to be as good?

They have a HC who knows how to scheme. We don't.
