We'd need to finish 8-4 for 9 wins.

I see us winning 10 games possibly 11

Even if, they're still 0-3 in the AFC. That kind of puts them at the tail end of all whacky tie breaker scenarios for a wild card spot. It just seems like a tall order, with 5 games versus AFCN opponents, that the team has struggled to beat in recent years.

Our defense is one of the worst in the leagues and despite JB's great numbers he has crucial mistakes at the absolute worst times. The sack/fumble for 6 and now the pick on a game sealing drive. The offense is good but they seem to make just enough mistakes that the D simply cant overcome or support. Season is toast with this D. We will fall in range 6-11 to absolute best case 9-8.

Definitely possible. I think our Defense will certainly improve and the next time we play the Ravens they won't score near that much
and they are the best team in our Division and we just about beat them while our Defense played terrible. Our Offense is elite right
now with Burrow and we finally have an efficient running game and an actual quality OL. One game at a time.

Tall hill to climb but it is early.

Aw, you must be the glass half full guy, and I’m the glass half empty guy.

I’m not jumping on the band wagon until they show me, they can win a couple games in a row. I’m not drinking the kool aid again.

We don't really buy that "any given Sunday" BS for the playoffs though, do we?

There are certain teams you know are not getting past the first round.

Making the playoffs and getting ousted in the 1st round is arguably worse than going like 7-10 and picking around #10 overall, IMO.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

IF we make the playoffs from 1-4, we can win a playoff game. It will have meant we finished 9-3.

That said, I don't see that happening.

Best case, we go 3-1 over our next 4 to be 4-5, then we have the Ravens in Baltimore.

We only really have 4 games with teams I consider bad in the Giants, Titans, and Browns twice. Maybe the Raiders. That said, we could lose to those teams.

Zac has been pretty bad against the Ravens, Browns, and Steelers too. We could go 2-4 or 1-5 in the division this year again.

Not the "any given Sunday" thing (which is true by the way), but it all comes down to who gets hot in November, December and January. Last year the Eagles started out as a juggernaut, but ended the season losing 5 of their last 6 then losing in the Wild Card. The Bengals under Taylor historically play their best football in December and January. All we have to do is get there.

Strip sacks are now a QB stat?  Somebody let PFF know...smh.

The offense makes just enough mistakes that the defense cannot overcome?   It is literally the other way around!

The defense cant close a 4th & 16, hard to overcome, the defense gets zero stops, thats really damn hard to overcome, the defense gives up 41 points - pretty hard to overcome.

If Bengals get to 2-4 this week....These 3-2 teams will take losses as season rolls along....Bengals are in position to go 5-1 against AFC North.

People act like these 3-2 teams are sitting at 5-0 and they are not.  Heck Washington or Raiders could bring Ravens or Steelers down to 3-3 this week.

To be fair the Defense did get some stops in the first half. That 2nd half though was inexcusable.

I was referring to our last 3 losses, in order.

When we couldn’t stop Washington when we had them 2&20 and they went for it on 4th down and got it, I knew this was going to be a long year for the defense.

Oh, well yes this Defense needs to make stops when it matters most or this season very well could be a bust right when Burrow is playing
his best and we actually have an okay OL and an efficient running game with Chase Brown. If the Defense wastes this opportunity Lou needs
to be replaced and we need to add some players to the DL in FA while extending Trey when it is time. Change will be needed on D if this
continues to happen where we cannot make clutch stops.

I don't think this continues though under Lou, I think the D will start to make the clutch stops from here on out.

As easy as it is to say the defense, logically you could say our offense isn’t as good next time around. Just ask who is the better team? This year is Baltimore. Any given Sunday, so it was a close game. We play them 10 times and we’re losing 7 of them

Agreed. Very similar scheme to the KC game. Tight defense in the red zone with the shorter field. 3 turnovers by defense in KC game. Just could't stop the Ravens two-headed run game.

The goal line stand in the first drive of the Panthers game was beautiful.

For us to win, the offense cannot turn the ball over. The KC and Baltimore games were lost due to late offense turnovers.
