Bengals Will Win AFC North This Season
Bengals now at 3-4 and 1-1 in AFC North. They are climbing out of the ditch they dug at start of season. Key players off IL and back on D Line helps.

GO BENGALS.....Always nice to beat Cleveland

In the old days I used to say that we could 2-14 and I'd be happy if the two wins were against the Browns.  Even in Dayton the place is lousy with Browns fans, so it's good to know so many are suffering tonight LOL

And, according to the NFL site, we're now the #9 seed in the AFC with a 39% chance to make the playoffs.  Not sure how up-to-the minute that is, but it sure sounds better than where we were at 1-4.

Eagles are tough, but beat them in THE JUNGLE in Cincinnati and get to 4-4 on the season.  Of course still celebrating beating Cleveland.

After our normal soft start along with losing our entire interior DL, I'm happy with where we are. OTOH, if the coaches had the them ready to play on week 1 we could easily be 5-2 right now by beating the Patriots and stealing a game from Bal/KC/Wash. Really need to go at least 3-3 in division, but that's a point for another week as we need to be in a one game at a time mindset.

I like where we sit as well. Big win today against Burrow's Kryptonite in Cleveland.

Now let's slow down the Juggernaut of Saquan Barkley and beat them Smeagols.

Really need Jets to beat the Stoolers

&

Baker Mayfield to ball out Monday against the Rats.
*Ps. I’m not a big fan of Mayfield but he has to laughing his jewels off over the Watson bust on steroids. They did him so dirty. So good for him. Glad to see him doing well down there.

Not really.  Bengals have a game with Browns, a game with Ravens and two games with Steelers left.   Bengals can settle this on the field by beating AFC North teams and winning AFC North.   The Bengals are starting to come around to looking like a Super Bowl team again on Offense and Defense the rest of the year.  Now the Eagles have a Super Bowl type team, but at least Bengals have them in Cincinnati, not Philly.  Eagles are a lot like Ravens at QB, RB, WR, Defense.  Eagles at Bengals will be two good teams facing off.  It would be huge if Bengals WIN and get to 4-4 on season and 1-1 in AFC North. It could be that Bengals get HOT like 2021 or 2022 and it's the other teams afraid to play Bengals second half of season. I know Bengals are still in Preseason Mode at start of season, and play like preseason, but Bengals are in Regular Season Mode now and like 2021 and 2022 ready to shift into Play-Off Team Mode. ...Announcers Sunday said all these high paid Defensive Linemen Bengals brought in are now off the IL, and Bengals Defense is looking tough to CBS Game Announcers. Bengals now have enough good D Line to move players in and out, so not worn down at end of a game, you know like giving players in basketball some bench breaks to be tough at end of games.

Right now, the Bengals have wins against teams that have 4 wins combined.
The teams they have beaten are pure trash.
These are games they should have won.
They should have beaten NE too if they came in with a better strategy and preparedness, who would be winless if they had.

Right now, the Bengals are 9th in the AFC.
They are going to have to make some ground on the Colts/Chargers/Broncos in the coming weeks to get back into a playoff spot.
These next 4 weeks will show if they really will get back into contention or not, as they play 3 teams with winning records and are arguably favored against the Bengals - Eagles, Ravens, Chargers.
The only "gimme" should be the Raiders.
They need to go at least 2-2 before the Bye to keep in the race.

Man if this doesn't feel like the 2024 Reds so far.
Starting off slow, maybe looking to get hot but trying to catch up all season.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: 3-5 so far. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

While a win is a win is a win, and our first in Cleveland since 2017 (?!) is a good thing....we have not beat a good team all year.

We have beaten Carolina, the Giants, and Cleveland. And the latter two outgained, out-snapped, and out-possessed us, IIRC.

My optimism is still firmly set to OFF until we beat a non-trash opponent.

The Eagles are not trash and I expect us to be 0-4 at home after next week.

I am not a fan since he did Hugh Jackson and the Bengals dirty.

Same here.  If when he pulled his stunt at PBS, one of our players had knocked him on his ass, I wouldn't have been a bit mad.

So, we should have lost to the teams we beat, just so they can sooth your ego? That's pretty low for you Ike

Ok, that's not going to happen.

Remember they played the Rats with scrubs on the DL and still only lost because of Zac's weird play calling in OT and a FG miss. They win that (like they should have) and this entire story is different. They likewise played the Chiefs missing key DL players and only lost courtesy of a REALLY iffy PI call. So they are not as far away as some think. Right now the priority is beat the Eagles. After that it is beat the Raiders. THEN if that happens we play the Rats and a win there changes the whole script.

Ravens and Steelers are the class of this division.

Still not sold on the Steelers. Yes they are looking pretty good currently,, but they have a rough remaining schedule as it looks now (especially the last 4 weeks, if we are to consider Cincy a tough game for them?).

5-2 to get to 10-7 they only need to finish 5-5 the rest of the way. Most times if you think they should do that it would be "yeah, they've got that for sure". But, looking at their remaining schedule:

Ravens x2
Bengals x2
vs Chiefs
@Commanders
@Eagles

Do you see 5-6 potential losses in those 7 games ? I do.

Their last 4 games are
@Eagles
@Ravens
vs Chiefs
vs Bengals

They also get Browns x2 and NYG. Hopefully one of those scrubs can pull off an upset win against Pitt too but not counting on it.

Still early and anything can happen in the NFL. But I'm seeing 9-8 or 10-7 for Pitt at this point.

I love you jj but let us not put the word class next to Steelers OK

The Ravens looked good last night, and even though I'm a passionate Bengals fan, I'll acknowledge the Ravens are fun to watch when not playing against the Bengals.

Makes me sick to see the Stoolers at 5-2 and tied for 1st

WTH.

That franchise just finds ways to win!!

They don’t have or need a Chase or a Tee or a Burrow.

Infuriating !!

Love him or hate him - Tomlin is a big reason why.
