Jenkins was also good. The rest at least were not liabilities. And Jenkins was not asked to pass rush a lot in college; he’ll learn it.

While I am not really advocating for it quite yet, if this defense remains the albatross it is I think Lou will be gone by the end of the year. He's really only had one good year and an offseason as a defensive coordinator and they won't let the hope he will improve hold the offense back.

Anarumo
Year Yards Scoring
2019 29 25
2020 26 22
2021 18 17
2022 7 5
2023 31 21
2024 27 31

If he does go there are 4 interesting names I have bumped into so far, I am sure others have more
1. Saleh, Jets HC and former Niners DC
2. Staley, 49ers assistant, former Rams DC and Chargers HC
3. Leslie Frazier, AHC in Seattle, Former DC at Buffalo, Tampa, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Former HC at Minnesota, 66 years old
4. Jim Leonhard, DBs and Passing game coordinator at Denver, DC at Wisconsin

Side note is that Anarumo is 58 and will be 59 at the start of next season. There is a chance that he wants to be a head coach before he retires. He spent 7 years at Purdue as an assistant coach. Ryan Walters is currently on the hot seat at 1-4. He might not be the hottest name but if you get him a solid OC he could be a stable guy for that level of team.
