I've been openly critical of Darrin Simmons the last few years largely because he kept choosing shitty weak-legged punters and bad returners (still think his return teams this year are shit) but McPherson is good, our punter is great, and our coverage teams are good.
They didn't have the unit ready to start.... that's where everything got off track. I've been a tad critical of Simmons lately because of Robbins....but he's usually been solid, despite what I said above. That was just making a point about the front office.

Speaking of special teams, Drue Chrisman taking shots at Rehkow online is some serious weirdo behavior. Dude was ***** awful here, and we might have actually won the 2nd AFCCG if not for him.

I don’t even really care if it’s Burton, I’m just ready for someone other than Jones.

Yes, Charlie Jones isn't getting it done, bring up Jermaine Burton or use somebody else on Returns if he doesn't improve big time.
Speaking of ST's, Rehkow and Tycen Anderson played lights out last night.

Tycen Anderson is a hell of a gunner.

Yeah he is. I would give him a shot at Geno Stone's spot if he continues to suck.

How many times do you here a broadcaster praising a gunner like they did with Tycen Anderson.

Jones punt return for a TD feels like a lifetime ago rather than just last year. Not looked close to breaking one so far.
Right now the height of my expectations on any kick return is 'please god don't fumble'!!

He had a lane on a couple of occasions last night, for some reason it looks like his accelerator is stuck when he tries to advance upfield.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Makes one wonder why Jamal Agnew is unemployed.

I saw one last night as well. Looked like he had a lane to the right, even turned his head that way, before he decided to go to the left and run into a pile.
You can always trust an dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to look out for.
