Zac's Prevent Offense

You know how much latitude Zac gives Joe with this offense.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I'm not sure that the word "unprecedented" means what you think it means.

Never done before. I don’t know a QB in the NFL with the latitude that Joe has and certainly for this franchise

To learn how to get that latitude? Joe has more.

That's where I was leaning. When Joe can fire Zac, then he has more control that A-Rod

There has been MANY QBs that have had more control than Burrow. Any QB in a no huddle offense ever has had more control. I'm not sure why you're even making that absurdly wild claim

I'm pretty sure Rodgers has had a couple of coaches fired so far.

After running not throwing we bled the clock to 4:50. We had a 2 score plus a 2 point conversion lead. Blame Zac for other times but not this one.

We had 1st & 10 from the 13 with 3 runs up the gut with a loaded box.  Im not saying it is terrible, just that we have seen play calling not to lose for years, instead of trying a dagger to put a team away.

The interception excuse is really bad being that Burrow has thrown one interception this season that was his fault.   The top rated QB with the top rated WR duo, with a loaded box, and we continuously take the ball out of the hands of our stars.  Yes we won this time.  Im old enough to remember losing to the 49ers and the Ravens in these same type of situations.

You can do quick screens and the such down there. Motion guys everywhere, misdirection. There's so much you can do to try and get more yards than a stacked box is going to give you.

I’m acknowledging other instances but not this time. I think the conservatism was warranted.

ANYBODY who criticized the play calling in this thread is not allowed to bytch about the Raven's game.

Of course, they're allowed but they'll just look silly

We should have gone prevent up by 2 scores

Tonight's game was mismanaged. He but too much faith in his players. He should have went Prevent when up by 2 TDs

..they did. They got up 2 scores and then their next drive they had short pass Hudson, short pass Brown, short pass Hudson, Brown run, Brown run (fumble).

Second time the Bengals gave the Ravens game away. They deserve the position they are in.

So passing on 2 of 3 plays is "Prevent"? Like I said you're allowed, but you'll look silly.

Short passing plays are indeed prevent. If you pass for 4 yards? It's a low risk high completion play with low rewards. That's prevent.

Isn't running with Brown prevent? Isn't that what caused the fumble? Running the ball twice in a row.

So angry at the points left on the field even after the collapse. This has to feel how the liberal voters felt the power night this is such a letdown. I can't be the only one that looked at the schedule for wins when we were up 21 to 7
