Zac's Prevent Offense

I was a fan of Zac going conservative then and would have preferred he had gone more conservative last night. of course, I try to be consistent.

I agree.  Consistently wrong is still consistent.

I have not opined on last night's game.  Your attempt to conflate comments regarding a game played 3 weeks ago with a game played last night reveals a sense of pathetic desperation and pettiness.

I think it's fairly obvious which two players played well. Hendrickson played hard, but he has zero help. I think Mims had a decent game, but I haven't looked at his PFF numbers.

Wts, the rest of the entire team should be put on notice. Get better or get gone. This includes the coaching staff. FO should put them on notice as well.

The Bengals have the worst secondary in the league.

I think I want Tobin fired first. Then if the new GM wants to can the staff, so be it. Pipe dream, unfortunately, so they might can the staff, and it'll be more piss poor drafting and similar results. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Just my days vent after watching that coaching debacle last night.

Spot on! So many of us have been on this train for so long and the cycle here never ends. I would like to suggest that the franchise change the teams name to The SnowPiercers!  Hilarious Whatever

The bengals always draft for the shiny pebble, and pay no attention to the trenches. If we had Marvin Lewis defense of a couple years ago, with this offense, we would have won a couple Superbowls by now. Burrow is being wasted being here.

If I was Burrow and Chase, I would request a trade, like Palmer.

This front office is stuck in the 1970’s and the NFL has passed them by. They have no idea how to run a franchise, manipulate salaries, draft, obtain free agents.

3 great players is not enough to win in the NFL. The brown family is satisfied because they make money, and that’s all they care about. Fans need to send a message, that if your not going to put out the effort to improve this franchise, then get out.

They've drafted lineman. They just fail.

In the top 3 rounds:

Mims, Jenkins, and Jackson this year. (Mims looks like a good tackle.)
Murphy in 23.
Carter in 22. Volson was 4th Round pick. Carter was waived.
Carman and Ossai in 21.
Jonah Willians in 19.

They've taken 7 lineman in the Top 3 Rounds of drafts since 2021. That's a lot. Mims is the only one that looks like an actual NFL starter.

Wild how the Bengals were overly aggressive last night. Take the points man.

There is an in between. You can be aggressive to a point, but you need to take points when you have them. Pretty sure we left
at least a couple FG tries on the field that should of got us the win. I understand going for 2 at the end though with how well the
Rats were playing on Offense against our D, but those other times we should of either Punted or Kicked a FG IMO.

If the 3 weeks ago take makes you bang your head against the wall then wait for the "but Zac won the AFC Championship game only 1,103 days ago!"

Of course, they're allowed but they'll just look silly

We should have gone prevent up by 2 scores

They tried. Chase Brown fumbled.

Then, the defense imploded. 1st sign of adversity, the defense folds.

Yep. The decision for 2 was a no-brainer to me. Bowles decided to play it safe last week and the Chiefs went on a first drive TD to win in OT. Last night, the Ravens scored 4 straight TDs to end the game. Who's to say they don't drive right down and score on the first drive of OT.

If that had happened, all the posts today would be about how conservative the Bengals were at the end and they should have gone for 2.

Well said. Going for 2 was the right call, it was aggressive and going off of what the Ravens had done to our Defense.

I think we were a touch too aggressive on some of the other 4th downs though. Some times you should Punt and trust your D when they
are playing okay and sometimes you should take the points and trust your Kicker.

After 2 incomplete passes. And we were still up after BAL Scored. Then we go for it on 4th down. Maybe just me but I don't classify that as conservative, nor do I classify going for 2 as "Playing Not To Lose".

The point is "football happens". There was nothing wrong with Zacs game plan in the game we won or the game we lost.

This team was more prepared than BAL last night. They were thoroughly out coached in the first half. Zac had them ready to play, they just stopped executing (Other than JB/Jamarr) in the 2nd half.

Our team is well coached and one of the least penalized teams in the league, but as soon as we lose folks that cannot spell football talk about how "cliueless" our HC is.

Waiting for the "He's lost the Locker Room/ Team has given up on him" opines.
