Worst call I've seen in a while
#21
I think there were some odd calls most of the game, like we roughed up Deshaun a few times (Trey did a full body weight sack I believe) and there were 2 penalties on the browns that play and nothing on us. That Trey sack may have been on DTR, but I think we had a roughing on Watson not called either.

Browns fan next to me said it's on Goodell because Watson is not good for the league's perception, so they won't give him those calls.

I thought I saw somewhere that you were at the game and maybe it looked different live, but I was watching at home and Trey definitely made an attempt to slide off to the side, not land directly on him.  I am not trying to be a homer, but I think it was a good no call.  They did call one on the Clowns earlier against Burrow that I thought was iffy and probably could have let slide.  Just like PI, its all how the ref sees it I guess.

I don’t understand the people who just blindly defend the refs and the league lol

Trey landed to the side of Watson and he clearly tried to prevent squashing him.  What was unusual is that Trey doesn't usually get the benefit of the doubt.

Uncatchable should only apply to throws that are out of bounds.....period. It should've been an illegal contact at minimum.

Thanks Nicomo, looks a little overthrown to me, but that is touching the WR way down field as well.

The Bengals have contacted the league office concerning the mystery of the DPI flag pick up

Hell. I might have been able to get a hand on it if the defender didn't pull me back.

If folks know me, they know *I'm not one to "blame refs" and at the end of the day; it didn't matter, but a call like that HAS to get the crew downgraded.

Apparently, it is a league rule, that all PI’s go against the Bengals. Doesn’t matter whether it’s offensive or defensive PI.

Burrow never gets the benefit of a roughing the passer call. Guess he’s man enough to take it.

They called one on Sunday

There was a flag picked up on MNF last night, again due to the ball being uncatchable.  Charger's Harbaugh was incensed because at minimum the call should have been defensive holding which doesn't rely on a catchable call.  This had an impact on the game.  It was a 3rd down play  The holding would have given them a first down.  Instead they settled for a field goal.  The Cardnals used the 2 minutes left to move within FG range and kick the game winning FG.

If that was holding, then there should be multiple flags on every play for OL holding, textbook blocking
