Right? He is coming on stronger, hopefully he continues...

I was afraid to say that Ossai looked good to me in the little of the game I have been able to see yet. Nice to hear to say the least.

He has, but I think he was bad against NYG as well.

The best thing about Moss is the very least you are going to get from him is a yard or two. He may not get the big runs like Brown (though he's had some nice ones himself) but he never seems to get stuffed behind the LOS like Mixon did. He falls foward.

Oh yeah, I agree 100% with that....I was just referring to his pass block grades. Most of the year has been good to very good.... NYG and CLE were not.

I think we should temper scores of offense players being so low.
Cleveland has a very good defense.

As for the defense, they had Chubb back and, in the past, he diced up our defense. Yes, Watson got hurt and the Cleveland offense has struggled, but I thought Winston was best QB play Cleveland has had all year.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

It feels like he gets singled out a lot for ticky tacky calls.

It was definitely a promising outing.

Watched the game and it was maybe Ossai's best game as a pro. He was all over the place hitting the QB and making nice stops.

Maybe there is hope for the guy, Murphy also looked much better against the Browns IMO.

Yeah, I am over PFF scores myself. I have rewatched the game and see players doing their job, making plays, yes sometimes the opponent does his job. I am no expert and never claimed to be, it seems like these grades are low. Oh well, I'm about winning the games.

In the end I judge with my eyes. There are lots of times when the PFF grades just don't look like what my eye sees.

Sometimes it is right on though and that is when I take them into consideration. But when an End is all over the place making great plays
and gets a low score it is pretty ridiculous.

So, what if you see Ossai make like 4 or 5 plays. You see him around the QB a couple times, moving him outta the pocket. Makes a couple tackles at the LoS. Bats down a pass. Let's say he plays 30 snaps. So now you see him make a play 6 times (that's a lot to notice a guy--especially a backup) but then he doesn't do anything at all for the other 24 snaps. That means he made some kind of impact 20% of the time but didn't do anything at all the other 80% of the time.

That's why you believe he had a good game (and i think pretty much anyone would) but PFF thinks he wasn't really all that great in the big picture.

The last 3 games he has 21 rushing attempts.

5 of those 21 attempts have gone for 0 or less yards (23.8%)
12 of those 21 have gone for 1 yard or less (57.1%)

He's not been in the final drives to kill the clock (that's been Brown's role) so it's not that driving up those numbers either.

The only good thing about Moss is he's a decent pass catcher as a RB, but his pass blocking hasn't been as good as advertised, so it's not even really fully valuable because he can't completely fill that role.

I feel like if we had Mixon (still on his team friendly deal) we would be a much better offense. I was always in the Mixon camp, and it's always been mind boggling that people thought he was bad. We've always had a terrible line for him to run behind, but people only banged on the table for better pass blocking and ignored run blocking. I'm happy that he's doing really well in Houston, as long as he doesn't do that against us if we see him in the playoffs.

I think a reason for seeing Brown in during the clock killing drives is, if he can break the LoS, he's gone to the house, like the Giants game. Moss is not a breakaway threat.
