Bengals vs. Eagles predictions
#41
Eagles have a Top 10 defense and Top 5 rushing attack.
The Eagles are already at 1000 yards rushing as a team, primarily led by Barkley and Hurts (all but 124 yards of it).
I predict Eagles win this one.

Eagles - 26
Bengals - 17
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

This hit would have ended my NFL career.

I don't want Burrow to die, but that's a BS penalty. Reminds me of some of those Reggie Nelson's hits where it was a clean hit to the torso, but he hit the guy so hard the refs felt obliged to throw a flag.

If the Bengals play a complete game they win by ten..If not ..pretty much the season is over and we can enjoy some of the rookies getting more playing time..Love our team but they really need to get it together because Baltimore, Detroit, KC are playing lights out..Damn I wish we would have picked up Derrick Henry

Not beating the Eagles by 10, or even losing to them doesn't end the season.  Too early for that.  Henry isnt close to fitting in with our style.  He is a non-factor when the Ravens do not have the lead, or in our case tied.

Gotta disagree. That hit is boderline dirty and 100% a penalty. He hit him well after the ball was released. Took it to a place where it didn't need to go.

Yeah, 3-5 does not end a season, let alone the Bengals season who always play better late in the year.

Yep, he launched himself into his chest. I know he used his shoulder but that was unnecessary for sure, the ball was out.

Within 1.5 steps, so it's clean. Didn't use his head, so it's clean. Didn't hit Burrow's head, so it's clean. Didn't leave the ground to hit him (but did fall after his teammate took out his feet), so it's clean. Didn't drive him into the ground, so it's clean. Didn't land on top of him, so it's clean.

I thought that hit was called football. We've cheered that hit a thousand times when it wasn't OUR quarterback.

I guess there's people out there who enjoy seeing Hendrickson cleanly hit the QB and then having to worry about the flag being for him somehow roughing the passer instead of just seeing a clean hit and assuming it was for intentional grounding.

Hopefully, because the Bengals could care less about being serious running the ball.

Maybe this week we go back to playing 12 and running more.

Fair enough, looked like Malik left his feet the first time, but I watched it again and he really didn't launch himself and leave his feet like I
thought the first time. Good job getting me to watch it again and get your point. Cannot disagree honestly TLL.

Sure was a hard ass hit though no question.

That sure would be nice to see. We need to adjust to how Defenses play us and teams have actually been able to run the ball a bit on the Eagles.

Would not surprise me if we do. It would help keep Joe clean.

I tend to agree if we lose the Division is pretty much over the way Ravens and Steelers are taking care of business, still outside chance for WC...

It takes a balanced offense to counter the Eagles’ fine defense. This means the Bengals need to run almost as many times as they pass. Whenever Philadelphia forces an opposing offense to go one dimensional, the game is over. On defense it will be up to the line to contain Saquon Barkley and put tons of pressure on Jalen Hurts.

Cincinnati 24
Philadelphia 20

specific to losing..I would love for you to be correct and we somehow come out of this with a chance..But with the way the Pitt and Baltimore are playing it will be very difficult..The Bengals defense has woken up and has played with energy the past two weeks perhaps our offense will click again and we have a complete game......Yet, I wholeheartedly disagree with your assessment of Henry..He is far from being a non factor..he has taken care of himself and in respect to the way he is playing this year I would be willing to be that most teams in the NFL are kicking themselves in the butt for not picking him up if they had the opportunity..If he continues at his torrid pace he most likely will be NFL player of the year..Hes on track to hit 2000 yards this year..ELITE

We usually don’t do well against mobile QB’s

Barkley is more of a nightmare than Henry for “our” D IMHO

I hate playing stout D’s and w/o Tee (?) - this will be even rougher.

Hurts is inconsistent.

If he is dialed in 30-17 bad guys.

If he is off 23-20 bad guys.

I don’t think they win without Tee unfortunately. The passing game needs to be full strength in order to beat good teams like Philly
