History Bengals v Niners
#1
The Bengals have a lower winning percentage (.214) against the Niners than any other team in the league. In addition to the two Super Bowl losses the bengals are just 3-9 against them in the regular season (1-5 away, 2-4 home). However after losing 9 in a row from 1978 to 2003 the Bengals have won 2 of the last four meetings.

This game is far from a lock. Backup qb, timezone change, and overconfidence could all come into play today. This is the trap game if I ever saw one.

Just need to wipe away the history with the 49ers this year like they did with the Raiders.  It can be done.

It's nice food for thought but holds no barrings on the outcome of today's game.

I suspect that 9 game losing streak is associated with Bill Walsh, and his experience with the Bengals prior to then. If anyone had a leg up on beating us, it would be him. Since then our record is comparable to our success with the rest of the league overall. Despite our setback with injuries, this is still one of the best teams we've ever fielded. And the bulk of the current players have no 'hangover' from our early failings against the Niners. I look at today's game as a blank sheet of paper. Looking forward.

Thank you !!

90% of the homers here are suggesting this will be an easy win due to the 49ers' record.

Wrong. I am hoping we walk away with a win even if we just sneak one out.

Not even close.  A QB getting his first start and full game on the road is not a trap game.  If anything, it is a trap game for San Fran.
