RUNNING BACKS (6): Shaun Alexander, Tiki Barber, Eddie George, Marshawn Lynch, Fred Taylor*, Ricky Watters
Notable players missing:
RBs with more yards than any 2025 candidates, outside of Taylor - Steven Jackson, Corey Dillion
OFFENSIVE LINEMEN (12): Willie Anderson* (T), Lomas Brown (T), Ruben Brown (G), Jahri Evans* (G), Olin Kreutz ©, Logan Mankins (G), Jeff Saturday ©, Joe Staley (T), Richmond Webb (T), Erik Williams (T), Steve Wisniewski (G), Marshal Yanda (G)
Will Corey ever get a shot? His SB ring, albeit with NE, should have cemented his candidacy. His career resume is better than any RB 2025 candidate.
Will Willie finally get in? If Joe Staley gets in before Willie, it will be criminal.
Likely first year candidates:
Eli Manning - 2x SB, 4x PB
Luke Kuechly - DROY, DPOY, 7x AP, 7x PB
Terrell Suggs - 2x SB, DROY, DPOTY, 2x AP, 2x PB, 8th all time sacks
Adam Vinatieari - 4x SB, 3x AP, 3x PB, all time points leader
Marshall Yanda - SB champ, 7x All Pro, 8x probowl

And it wasn't like Corey Dillon completely dropped off in NE either.
He had his best season statistically with 1635 rush yards and 12 TDs.
I liked Fred Taylor, but dude had just 454 more yards than Dillon but 3 extra seasons.
Gotta get in over Tiki too, IMO.
Tiki probably the more well-known name for a larger NFL fan base though when people look at the list.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: 3-5 so far. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

Pretty sure Suggs only has one Super Bowl...
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

I like to use PFR's Hall of Fame monitor to see how likely it is someone gets in. At the very least, it is a good starting point. Taking a look at that, I would put Dillon firmly in the "not likely" category. Same with Eddie George. Both are low on the list, relatively speaking. I think both of those guys, Jackson included, are in the Hall of Very Good. Dillon just doesn't have the accolades. Four Pro Bowls and a ring. No All-Pros, no OPOY, no ROY. I could be wrong, but I would bet on no.

Let’s get Willie in through the regular committee and Kenny Anderson in via the old timers group, then we can worry about Corey Dillon

The fact they have Derrick Henry at a score of 41 is astounding. The dude is a walking HOFr.
NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2020)
First-team All-Pro (2020)
2× Second-team All-Pro (2019)[a]
4× Pro Bowl (2019, 2020, 2022, 2023)
2× NFL rushing yards leader (2019, 2020)
2× NFL rushing touchdowns leader (2019, 2020)
The fact he was minimally used his first two years hurt, as well as being on an average to below average team, until now. Derrick Henry, and Adrian Peterson, the most dominant running back this side of 2000. You have others like, LT, Edge and CMC as dual threat running backs. But as far as pure running backs, those two are head and shoulders above all others.

When are they going to take into account the context of a career? Corey played on some of the worst teams ever & was the best back in the NFL. Put him on the Rams or the Titans or any of the best teams & he's without question the best of the era. Thanks Mike.

Put Dillion on the Broncos those years they had that great line & he possibly could've averaged 2k yards a year. I personally think Terrell was the most overrated running back ever along with Emmett Smith. Those guys with Barry Sanders' O-lines would've been mediocre. But they still had great careers with great lines, Corey had a great career with terrible lines is my point.

I believe Kenny will get in at some point, but knowing the hall and its selectors, no doubt a few years after he's left us.

I think Henry will end up being a HOFer but I am not convinced if he retired today that he would be. I don't think voters care about second team All-Pros, so he'd have one AP, an OPOY and four Pro-Bowls. For example, his resume is similar to a guy like Chris Johnson who had three Pro-Bowls, an AP and an OPOY. The problem is that CJ2K fell off pretty sharply. Now, I think Henry's resume is better than CJ2K but it's not a drastic difference.
I do think that Henry will continue his trajectory and end up being a HoFer but he isn't a HoFer as of today IMO. He's on pace for another 2k season, though. Probably another AP, maybe an OPOY. I would expect him to have the accolades necessary by the end of his career.

Until the year he was on the Madden cover, got the curse, and got hurt early on, ruining three of my fantasy leagues.
He went to high school a few miles from me and, in three games against his old school (one of which I was just a backup varsity QB as a freshman, so didn't see the field beyond special teams), I had a bunch of tackles, one touchdown reception, and one interception!

I don't usually agree with you, but I do here. Put Dillon on the lines Emmett Smith and Terrell Davis ran behind and he would be in the HOF
no question. Agree with others though that he just doesn't have the accolades others do so he is on the outside looking in because of this
fact. Willie Anderson and Kenny Anderson should be in before him as Pally said.

Didn't realize he hung around that long. I could play the guessing game as to which team he was on in 2019 now... Context clues tell me it was KC

Context is key though....KH is doing this in a pass happy league.
