Um, 2 days ago you admonished everyone and declared that, "we should all be THANKFUL that Zac is our coach"....?

We're better than what our record says. There's still 9 games left, and we're beating the raiders next week. People here easily forget we had three consecutive winning seasons.

Most of us have been fans for decades. Not bandwagoners that jumped on board in 2021. We havent "forgotten" anything. We have simply seen it all before.

And is beating the Raiders really going to move the needle?
They can beat the bad teams.
Barely.
There is no warm feeling about beating Carolina, Giants, Browns, and Raiders.
This was supposedly the all in year with it being Tees final year.

I've got nothing against the lions but I don't get the love. They've also got a 150 year old owner who doesn't give a damn who wasted some of the best players to fall into their laps and if they win the SB that's just one more team that pulls out of the zero SB club before we do.
The love for the lions reminds me of the 2010s when everyone suddenly had the Seahawks as their second favorite team. Bonus points for anyone cheering Goff after declaring that California boy QBs like Palmer couldn't play gritty north football.
Also their HC reminds me way too much of Bill Cowher. I can see the appeal with the lions but I probably overthink it.

Yeah, I won't outlive Katie. She's stubborn like her old man and will hang around like C. Montgomery Burns. Maybe someday, like the Lions did suffering with one inept Ford family member after another, we'll finally hit on our version of Sheila Ford Hamp, a Ford that actually wanted to win. If you're under 50 you may live long enough to see that. Over 50, I don't like your odds.
NFL team ownership is idiot-proof. Paul willed them a license to print money. Katie knows all she has to do is field a team competitive enough to occasionally have a good season or two every now and again and that will keep the turnstiles clicking and the Brown/Blackburn coffers full.

If anything they’re worse. They’re currently 2-6 right now had Cleveland started Jameis.

Hell, now the Browns are nipping at our heels. Good thing we fixed up the basement nice last season, we can just walk in and fall on the cot by the furnace.

I think we could/should be better than our record says... but are we?
We lost to the Patriots (their only win until today). At no point was their win 'undeserved'. We played badly, but they did more than we did to win the game.
We should never have lost to the Chiefs, but Burrow's fumble-6 and a ridiculous defensive error ensured that we did.
Our defence absolutely own the losses to Washington and Baltimore.
And we got shellacked today.
Our wins have been over the Browns/Panthers/Giants... none of whom are any good whatsoever.
We're just basing this on what the Bengals have been like, if we're saying we're better than our record.... we really haven't been. Those winning seasons of the past had better teams than this year's Bengals currently look. I hope they get it together too, but there has been a clear drop off this year in my opinion.

We’re headed back there. That Super Bowl run will set this franchise back another decade. We’re going to have to ride this mediocrity until Burrow’s contract expires. With Burrow’s contract holding the Brown family down and their loyalty to a loser head coach we’re in for another 5-6 seasons of 5-8 wins. Then spiral for the remaining couple of seasons until we’re drafting a QB again.

I’m so tired of this franchise. It’s not going to be possible for most of us to quit them. I’ve tried.
Send them to Oklahoma City or San Diego or Juarez.
Maybe we can bring another franchise in after Brown is gone. 4 to 5 years later.
There’s no reason to think things will ever improve because they won’t.
Move this albatross. The brown family will never sell, so relocation is our only hope.
Maybe you should move to another NFL city..come on man

Mediocre teams find ways to lose. They said on the NFL show that 6 of the 8 early games had close scores.
The good teams find ways to win them.
But yes...Patriots we should beat. We had the Ravens game and played for the long fg and lost. Chiefs game was winnable.
But...we lost.

The 2015 WC game. Honestly, I think that was the absolute most brutal Bengals loss I have ever endured emotionally. I will never, ever forget that and I think subconsciously it took away some of the excitement of Bengals games for me moving forward. I never wanted to let myself get that excited and hopeful again because the emotional pain was just so awful. Every game I have watched since has not had the cheering and excitement at the level I used to have before that game. I am always waiting for the implosion now.
My kids were sleeping and I started jumping up and down going crazy, beer flying everywhere as I am jumping around with a mostly full open can, screaming we were finally going to win a playoff game. And then..................

Man, I didn't want to say it, because I have my picture as my PFP for some dumb reason. But yeah, I always call him beady eyed allen.

Dude, you live in Cleveland, not New Zealand! Just jump on I-71 some Saturday and head on down. Have some Skyline, and then some Graeter's for dessert. Go to the top of the Carew Tower. Or better still, come on a Sunday and go to a game. The Browns are coming to town, maybe you can hitch a ride with them.
