This is a side tangent, but one thing I dont get is they supposedly dont value linebackers, but they re-sign all 3 guys(pratt, wilson, davis-gaither). And none of those 3 are game changers. Yea, Wilson is the best of the bunch, and I get re-signing him, but it just feels like linebackers can be replaced. It's not a premium position.

There was no need to re-sign BOTH davis-gaither and also Pratt, when that money couldve been used to retain or sign somebody who is more impactful

and those Murphy/ossai picks, along with trying to replace boyd and higgins with Charlie Jones and Yoshi is straight up killing the team

 Without a doubt!

of course, but if burrow stays healthy, they make the playoffs, and you know that defense wouldve absolutely stepped it up

It's because you are of such profound wisdom, Frank Booth. - SunsetBengal

The defense that year was...

21st Scoring
31st Overall
28th Passing (32nd passing YPA)
26th Rushing (30th rushing YPC)

...and you're not putting '23 on Lou. That's exactly why I posted that he's laughing his ass off somewhere seeing people STILL not blaming him at all for having a shitty defense so often.

That's a great point to bring up, he was far from being on anyone's short list. What kills me is that with Lou having a DBs coaching background, our secondary is in total shambles. Perhaps the rebuild needs to begin with DC?

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

At the very least it should start with Marion Hobby. If it doesn't I have a horrible feeling DeMonte Capehart will be a Bengal ugh.

Does anyone else find themselves screaming at the tv wondering why we consistently drop into coverage and never blitz opposing qb's. This is common sense football but these idiots continue to do the same thing week in and week out. When your secondary is mediocre and your pass rush is non existent its creating a nightmare scenario for coverages. Makes me puke at the lack of blitzing we do and I dont wanna hear how spying Hurts and Jackson and those guys is the way to go BS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Heat them up and force mistakes

Bengals blitzed 6 times yesterday.

2 were net positive, 2 were whatever, 2 were awful.

I agree we need to blitz more, but it's not the cure-all everyone thinks it is.

Kansas City is undefeated and still working 9n improving their roster. We sit and do nothing and are happy with what we have. Here we come superbowl with what we have.

Was the turnover forced? Or was it a gift?

I believe it was a bad snap between Linderbaum and Lamar.
