The FO has to consider making a big trade; either by bringing someone in or by letting someone go.

Also, value athlectisim in the IOL and for God sakes draft one or two IOL early in the draft.

They can locker that zebra look. Wasn't horrible with the orange helmets. Now looks blah. Diddy has spoiled white parties.

In realistic order from probably won't happen to not likely at all:

3 upgraded players for offense (G, TE, WR3 if Tee & Chase here) and 3 or more for defense (anywhere)
All coaches memorize 'The Art of War'
Hire an OC with experience to run offense as Taylor takes on HC duties full time
Front office expansion with gm and better/more scouts for drafts
Brown family sells team to me

The white tigers are the best uni/helmet combo in the league.

Ownership just doesn’t care enough. Sure they’d like to win a Super Bowl, but they don’t have a hunger for it. Are 31 other teams wrong about scouting? Would any of the 31 other teams allowed Lou or Pollack to come back? The line literally can’t run block, and nobody seems to care. Their drafts have sucked. Way too many non-productive players outside of top 5.

When we’re on our next OL coach and they still can’t run block people might finally realize Duke has been the problem all along.

Rebuild the trenches. Use anything but zone blocking. Run the ball. Stop the run. Make Evan McPherson practice more; he’s too inconsistent. This will solve 90% of the problems in Cincinnati.

Yes, I understand the Bengals are built to throw the ball but if opposing defenses do not have to respect the run then the pass game goes south quickly. This is where we are at the moment.

On defense it pays to be more physical. Hitting an opponent with much more energy makes them far more likely to go down than using arm tackles.

I just saw that 2x coach of the year Kevin Stefanski has given up calling plays. It resulted in a big win against the Ravens.

I took a look at the 2025 free agency class and did what made the most sense far as major additions. I didn’t add a big name WR because the top ones were old/ on the decline. I didn’t add a CB because we need a CB1 and didn’t feel like there was one. Reed from the Jets was the top corner but feel like he’s a CB2 with Gardner drawing the top receivers. At rusher I avoided Reddick at 6’ 1 240 he dosen’t play the run and I’m not paying big money for part time players. Based off this we would be eyeing WR, CB1 and pass rusher in rd 1. This isn’t a one year fix awful drafting has set this team back.

Front Office - Fire Tobin, we need new blood and a new direction in drafting.

OFFENSE
1. Fire Frank Pollack, bring in an OL coach with a successful track record running the ball.
2. Cut Cappa , sign Trey Smith from KC as a free agent he’s only 25.
3. Philosophy change , we’re not a 3 WR spread them out team because we don’t have that personnel anymore.

Defense
1. Sign DT Alim McNeill from Detroit. Only 25 , big body good against the run and pass. Plays nasty fits the AFC north. Detroit can’t pay everyone. Need to stop the run 1st.
2. Cut Hubbard
3.Sign Chase Young he only has two sacks but he has 30 pressures. Shouldn’t command a crazy top deal.

Though he did , The two sites I used listed them as free agents in 2025 maybe they don’t updated in season extensions. If anyone has a reliable site let me know.

Alas we probably need to junk the schemes on both sides of the ball. Right now neither side has their scheme playing to what their players do well.

On offense, get under center and run power off tackle and inside. Do it enough for the line to develop confidence and aggression - letting linemen actually attack helps performance. Backfield with RB plus Sample as a sort of FB with 2 WR and a TE (All or Gesicki). Adjust Run/Pass ratio to something closer to 55% pass instead of our current nearly 65% pass. Use route trees designed to get receivers into gaps in zones or more open otherwise.

On defense scrap zone for now - the players are incapable of running it correctly. Go to a more Zimmer like Press Man with emphasis on press at the LOS. Reduce Hubbard's snaps a lot and give Cedric Johnson a bit more time. Use stunts and other such DL maneuvers to try to give a pass rusher not named Trey a chance. And run more of a 4-3 for now. Again this is less than optimal it is a reaction to the players being clearly incapable of running zone intelligently.

And (yes) sign a kicker off the street to compete with Mac. If nothing else put pressure on him to fix this nonsense. And on practices the nice guy approach ends. Players get pushed as hard as the rules allow and discipline is enforced and tackling coached constantly. And no matter who you are if you don't tackle you sit.

-Hire some real proven OC/DC and make Taylor stop calling the offense.
-Once this is done focus on both the lines now that you have new talent and proper development.
-Change the culture of this team permanently. i thought maybe they had but this season has been a real wakeup call. This is still the same old Bengals just riding 3-5 ultra talented players as far as they can. The rest of the team is just there filling space most of the time.

this is great. but you aren't considering the fact that bengals ownership is a joke across the league. getting actual coaches is hard to do. marvin was bad but in all honesty was the closest this ownership ever had to actually landing "real coaching" just based on marvin's past relationships. he was well loved. he destroyed his career by coming to cincy.

..... didn't hurt that Winston was much better than Watson either....and the Ravens dropped a couple of his typical INTs.... Tongue
