Fixing the Bengals
#61
People in the know, supposedly or under the opinion that the personnel, albeit almost the same, are not merging well with the new schemes. In other words, somewhere in the organization there was a paradigm shift and it's not matching up with the personnel and they're too far into the season to change now.

In addition, I don't think sweet Lou's defense worked without a genuine stud as a nose tackle. I think Lou has his philosophy and he's not willing to change or adapt. And he's not willing to change or adapt.

It doesn't help that their free safety stud is gone in. Both safeties are underperforming.

One last question is this has been brought up before years ago. Would you be willing to bring in Marvin Lewis as the new GM?

Reader and Bates were our two best players. Losing them has killed the defense.

If you asked me 5 years ago I would have said yes but not now. If the Bengals hire a new GM it should be Luke Kuchley. If they go in that direction they should also hire  capologist  along with him.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Why Kuchley?

Smart guy, knows the sport inside out, has scouting experience, and is a local kid.

I get major John Lynch vibes from him.

Hire a top shelf OC
Hire a top shelf OL coach
Have a proper scouting department - 6 is not nearly enough

The Family, by now, should have their financial eggs in other baskets besides the Bengals. Paul passed the team to Mike over 30 years ago. THEY CAN AFFORD TO DO THIS!!!!
Go Benton Panthers!!
