Yea the pre-snap checks and rotations are more specific and usually built around the players skillsets. Example the Bengals used to rotate to cover 2 just to disguise a Tampa 2 because Logan Wilson is long and athletic and can turn that defense back to cover 3(3 high 4 under).
This defense is failing in alot of ways. We all know pass rush is a major issue but also Cam Taylor-Britt (CB1) & Geno Stone (Post Safety) have struggled and that usually means big chunk pass plays when your a heavy 34 cover 1 man defense. The Bengals also had a meh pass rush in 2022 but Chido and Bates on the backend covered up alot of issues. Along with Hilton can't forget Mike...ugh Mike's a free agent next year too isn't he? Damn...
