If I’m Jamarr Chase I’m not resigning if Tee is gone
#1
Why the hell would i sign with a team who may keep Zac another 10 years no matter how bad he is, just to get triple teamed every play because we let Tee walk.

THIS is why you get guys as good as Chase extended ASAP.

It is a real possibility Chase doesn’t even wanna come back now

I don’t think Iv ever seen a NFL close its own championship window so badly

It’s like they got that taste of winning in 2021 and said “welp that’s enough of that”

If we really thought the fix to losing guys with Reader, Tee and Bates is drafting guys with mid level picks then idk what to say cause that means we’re idiots

This place is turning into a cesspool.

Go take the negativity elsewhere, FFS.

Agreed.  I dunno if you follow r/bengals, but it's even worse.

Bengals will just tag Chase multiple seasons if he doesn't sign an extension...
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

About every site will when a team goes from Super Bowl contender to what some are feeling like a decline back into mediocrity a few years later.

Many fans now have an expectation of deep playoff run every year thanks to 2021-2022 and being 3-5 after coming off a 9-8 season is not keeping the optimism alive for some.
They can see these replacements for the good veterans is just a step down, if not multiple.

Assuming the Bengals don't go on a great win streak the second half of this year (which would obviously get people excited and hopeful again), trades and offseason activity hopefully will.

If a team pays you enough, you will sign with them. To almost all players nowadays, winning is secondary to making money.

We should re-hire the coach that got us those playoff runs instead of the jackass we have now. Ninja

It's like the thread the other day where people were telling fans to quit buying tickets so the team will move. "All die, no ride" if I remember correctly. I mean, has everyone forgotten 2 AFCN Championship games and one AFC Championship, 1 Super Bowl and 2 Division titles in the last 5 years? Going from 0-7 in the playoffs with Marvin to going 5-2 in the playoffs with this staff? Yeah, all die. I mean, seriously, if people want to jump ship just do it already. Don't stand on the plank complaining about the water temperature.

Can we bring back the players too? Namely Bates and Reader? Smirk

I love that idea actually.

Bates is signed through 2026 with ATL, so he would have a couple seasons still under contract after.

Maybe even toss in Geno Stone too so they have a FS to replace Bates with to go along with Higgins.

ATL is 5-3 and leading their division though so they probably wouldn't want to risk a downgrade at FS for this season.
An offense of Higgins, London, Pitts, Mooney, and Robinson sounds pretty damn awesome though.

Teams find a way to get around the salary cap all the time  Wink

Well they'd have to completly ignore it, because accoding to this place we should have Burrow, Chase and Higgins, Joe Thuney, Bates, Reader, Henderickson. Who else am missing, we might as well sign Max Crosby while we're at it, right?

What a sad excuse.  We are the least aggressive and least creative with the salary cap than all other NFL teams.  We have been this way forever.

They could have had this exact roster the year we went to the Super Bowl if they would have ponied up for Thuney. Burrow, Chase, and Tee were all on rookie contracts. We probably win it too with him in there instead of Spain.
