Sadly, as I mentioned in another thread, our FO will not even try to fix our weaknesses like other teams do in mid-season.

Dexter Lawrence? Hell yeah, immediate game changer for the face of the defense. Good luck prying him away from the Giants, or even getting the FO to pay a NT like him what he's worth.

Roquan Smith is that leader that the Ravens had been needing, no doubt. Would I trade Pratt for a monster presence and personality similar to Smith? You betcha! However, what would be equally impactful and likely a little cheaper in the long run would be to spend the money and bring in a top tier Safey. With adequate DL and Safety play, Wison and Pratt are more than adequate and sometimes even excel at their positions. I'd have no issues with the Bengals riding with Wilson and Pratt for moderate 3rd contracts, so long as they plug the money saved into NT and Safety.

The bears, prior to sweat, did not have a great group on the DL. They were at/near the bottom in almost every category.

These were just examples of one guy significantly changing and shaping a bad defense.

Again, bengals stand pat, but beyond just on field production.. this defense is missing a leader. In fact, both sides of the ball seem to be lacking in that department.

What I do not get is how big can the egos of the FO, coaching staff, scouting staff be to NOT trade draft picks for proven players?   I mean look at the unbelievably terrible track history of their draft selections.    Why not?    The chances that whoever these morons draft of being a great player is probably < 5%.   I am being conservative.

No accountability ever for this mess.  

I would also say WTH is wrong with these idiots to not be poaching from practice squads year after year.   Not from any team.   Teams that have a track record of finding good NFL players.   The Chiefs PS players are more than likely as good or more realistically BETTER than many of the starters.    Find teams that know how to draft and get to work already.

How many sure fire picks like JB or Ja'Marr come along?

bring back BJ Hill and extend Trey. I wish we would trade draft picks for some proven players but we never do.

With the low percentage of Bengal draft picks that have panned out in recent years, it would only make sense to trade for a quality player or two.

Proven commodity > Magic Beans
