Willie vouched for a bunch of guys that turned out to be total bums, too. It happens.

Seems like the people he puts his arm around just don't work out. He is not some WR whisperer.

Yeah Burton would have had some opportunities today, too. He totally blew a chance to gain trust with his coaches/teammates.

I have zero issue with cutting a guy like Burton. You cant let malcontents poison the locker room

I think it’s premature to go here at this point, although as much as I wanted to see him today, benching him was the right message to send to him for his BS. I was a huge fan of his talent going into the draft, and hope he responds to this correctly, but agree that his antics thus far are very concerning and not welcomed if changes aren’t made in how he approaches his career.

How the hell do you miss the walkthrough in the NFL? Wtf were you doing at the time? And a rookie to boot.

Burrow spoke highly of his hard work. He’s a knucklehead. He needs a wife lol.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I heard he was late for practice Friday and late again for the walk through on Saturday.  Who knows, but this kid needs to get it together.

saban made it pretty clear that the kid has issues. Re-watch that selection on draft day, it's easy to pick up what saban is putting down

Apparently he wasn't just late but he was a no call, no show for the Saturday walk through:

'Working through it," Burton's agent Trevon Smith said via text. "Still maturing and growing."

Saban did not like the pick and looked surprised the Bengals took him. Saban might have followed that by trying to say some nice things about Burton but it was clear he thought Burton had issues and shouldnt have been drafted that high. If you cant find the video just look back at the draft day threads of everyone talking about Saban's reaction to the pick. Saban wasnt supportive of the Bengals using that pick to take Burton.

I saw some documentary on him and Belichick and he mentioned something of the sort that he would talk to coaches/teams about any of his players if teams were thinking of drafting them. Guessing Bengals didn't do that.
