He's already at 4 and still 8 games left. Also, Uzomah ended up with only 5 TDs the entirety of 2021 regular season, as he had all of his in the first 7 weeks but then none after. Overall, Gesicki is an upgrade as a receiving TE compared to what they've had in the Burrow era before. My only concern will be is Gesicki retained after the season, as he will turn 30 next October and may jump up his price.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive. Sorry for Party Rocking!

So I get being cautious. I don't think that results in bad optics, at least not for other teams. We saw the same with AJ Green when he was tagged. The only "knock" on Higgins, for me, is he seems to be consistently missing a few games a season, which impacts his reliability.

It's going to be interesting to see what the Bengals do tommorrow on offense. The Erick All injury might force them to scrap a alot of what they have been doing as an offense on a short week.

Tanner is a liability as a blocker. Where were these good grades? I haven't seen them. Erick All and Drew Sample were fantastic blockers this season. Gesicki is better as a Receiver than Hudson even and is about the same age. McLachlan is old for a rookie. We are going to have to add another TE in the Draft it is looking like and I would bring back Gesicki with his production. I think Gesicki will make losing Tee less of a thing. Like Whacked shown, Gesicki has more yards this season.

If looking for a guy in Rd 5 or later that is versatile, I like Ben Yurosek (Stanford, Georgia). Currently seeing him projected 6th or 7th rounder.

Would definitely prefer the versatile type of TE's like All and McLachlan but their injury history and age makes me want to add another one that might be more dependable while bringing back Gesicki as the WR/TE.

Personally I think Gesicki is just getting warmed up. He's always been a good TE, he just had crap QB's throwing to him. He seems to be playing with more confidence and looseness as the season progresses. Barring injury, I think his numbers continue to improve.

That “almost” catch in the end zone against the Raiders was sick and very WR-esque!

Gesicki IS the man, but as always, the Bengals dont know how to use nor keep TEs that produce.

Gesicki would be having a hell lot better year if the Bengals consistently used him.
Seems like there have been games where they removed him from the game plan completely.

Me thinks Gesicki is the secret weapon tonight along w the dink and dunk.
I’m not entirely opposed to quick screens to C. Brown. He hits 5th gear stupid fast. |
