Honestly, he has always gotten a raw deal in Chicago. I think he could be a HB1 in the league if given a good situation so I like this move to split carries with Chase and not wear him down.

Roster spot opened and filled with a practice squad draft round. Nothing wrong with that.
Like a teenage girl driving a Ferrari.

Good move.
Would love it if they did something to pick up Calais Campbell too.

I think they gave up too much for him. A 7th is steep compared to what everyone else is trading for quality guys. I mean he has taken literally 27 snaps all year. Wtf?
He's a more athletic Zach Moss but he can't stay healthy. Hopefully he can produce for us. Here's his PFF page for career and games played this year: The boys are just talkin' ball, babyyyy

He's pretty explosive. That said, he hasn't played much this year.
Only 26. I think he's a decent receiver too. He's kind of like Eric Bieniemy was if you all remember him.

I am not sure how that is too much...

3rd trade in 50+ years and we have people complaining about a 7th rounder lol....
He's a solid back and never got a full-shake in Chicago for some weird reason. When he was involved he made a ton of plays. I like the move but it really doesn't move the needle much. Still need to make a splash on defense.

Not going to go crazy over it. Welcome to the team. Hopefully he can stay healthy, produce, and be a quality addition. The boys are just talkin' ball, babyyyy

He is rated higher in most advanced metrics then Brown and Moss. He is a solid talent and you can't give up much less than they did. Pick swaps in the 7th between us would have netted a 0 value for the Bears so we literally gave about the least possible.

New ownership brought in Swift and Johnson and as you'd imagine their guys got playing time. Has absolutely nothing to do with Herbert talent kind of like corporate world it's politics.

Good deal this is more about pass blocking and just giving Brown a blow. Idk if anyone saw Williams last week in pass protection he let a defender in on a free rush and got blow up once and got Burrow killed.

I remember he was having a good season 2 years ago, then he got injured
Not a game changer unfortunately. Also not a guy who can carry the load. More of a 3rd down type of back It's because you are of such profound wisdom, Frank Booth. - SunsetBengal

A 7th round pick is well worth not having to see Trayveon Williams on offense. Some of you apparently value late round draft picks even more than Mike Brown if you have a problem with this.

Folks acting like you're likely to land a better player than Herbert with a 7th rounder... |
