If Andy Reid or John Harbaugh were our HC

What do you think our record would be?

Me: 7-3

the D lost a lot of good personnel.. our coaches can do the job....with the squeelers, their D is always there to help and they dont need a 50 million/season QB to get them at the top of the division... we were good only when our D had the players... We still have our QB, WRs and our RB doing as good as Mixon.

The Steelers defense is there with a Defensive Coordinator, Teryl Austin, that we fired mid-season

Winning makes believers of us all

They didn't win and we don't beleive

Can I vote for Ozzie over Harbaugh? I would definitely take Ozzie Newsome before John Harbaugh.

Quick side note Joe Hortiz (worked under Ozzie) is the GM for the Chargers.

Neither of them would have had to go down to their 6th choice to hire an old first-time DC and then neither would have stuck with that DC after being horrible across the board defensively in 2023. So better than what we currently are.

Due to the FO, nothing would be better. We might have a handful of stellar coaches, however, they won't shine until they leave.

Unless Ownership turned loose of the reigns and made the new HC a Bill B. in New England kinda HC, dude that's running pretty much everything!

Not much better.

I think Reid would have a better record....not sure about Harbaugh. This defense is absolute dogshit though....and Shooter is becoming Shitter.

Sucks, looking like we need to draft another Kicker. I like Rehkow though. One step forward two steps back is the way it always seems with us.

Find someone who loves you as much as bfine loves whoever the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals currently is.

So there's what I want to happen...and what I think will happen.

I think the Bengals will hesitate to fire Zac if we finish with a top 10 offense. I think it's almost all Burrow and Chase though.

You might see Lou and some position coaches go. I kind of doubt that too.

Only way Zac goes is if Burrow calls for it.

John Harbaugh with a similar, maybe worse, roster from last year has already beaten their win total from a year ago. The reality is good coaches find ways to win tight games and bad coaches find ways to lose them. There is no coincidence we KEEEP losing in these same fashions. I think a really good coach has this team at 7-8 wins even with the roster issues.

Good coaches have good schemes and know how to get players that fit into that scheme.

We just take the free agent that is a good value. Are our CB's better in man or zone? It's really hard to tell as we seem to play both equally.

Coaching absolutely makes a big difference.

Good coaching should be getting the most from their players, putting them in position to succeed (scheme) and the overall team performing greater than the sum of their parts.

I look at the Denver Broncos and see a team where the coaching is getting the post from their players... They lost 3 first round picks trading for R. Wilson and Sean Payton, have $80m in dead cap (largely because of R. Wilson), are starting a rookie QB and their best receiver is Courtland Sutton. and they're 6 - 5.

I hate how much I respect Tomlin as a coach. Not a chance in hell he misses the playoffs with a QB like Burrow. Not saying he’d make this defense world beaters but i guarantee they’d at least be serviceable.

No losing seasons in 18 years, not even really that big a drop off since the decline of their Franchise QB either. I hate the Steelers, you hate the Steelers, we all hate the Steelers, but it's just no contest... no losing seasons in 18 years, whilst big Zac is well on track for as many losing seasons as he has winning seasons.

Though I will say... both Pittsburgh and Baltimore are brilliant at regular season success... It's insane to think that Taylor only has 3 fewer playoff wins than Tomlin. Neither Mike or John really know how to get it done in the playoffs consistently (well, since 2012 for Harbaugh anyway, but that is a long time).

But to cut back to the sauce... those teams know how to balance a roster and remain competitive. The Bengals simply do not.

We've only played 11 games you argue?

Well since we're making up stupid hypothetical nonsense to drown ourselves in our on sorrow might as well make up a stupid hypothetical nonsense record.
