Not ridiculous at all as it crystallizes the Bengals problems..

Can't sign Bates because we gotta sign Higgins.
Can't sign Higgins because we gotta sign Chase.
Can't sign Chase because he's asking for too much money.
Everything in this post is my fault.

Remember the "I stand with Carson" sigs? Good times. Denny was such a power tripping tool. I remember you and several others on the "Carson Cavalry" lol.

Does'nt fit their narrative. Bates did'nt earn a big contract from the Bengals, he played like dogsh!t for an entire regular season, those are the players you get rid of not reward. I've said it before, Bates wanted out. Tee on the other hand wants to stay in my opinion, but can't stay healthy.

They used to roll cap space over to sign Dalton and Green, etc.

And why did'nt Carson live up to it? Could it have been injuries caused by a sh!t o-line once Levi went down along with Braham? He was top 3 in the league in 05.

Once they skimped on the o-line it was over.

This right here.

A truth i've gradually accepted as i've grown older. Palmer was right, and we're seeing the same with Burrow.

I can't stand to watch it all fall apart. There are so many issues with the team at this point, that I honestly don't even know where to start.

Not surprisied.  Crap on a player that wanted us to be quality NFL team.  He wanted better facilities and a better front office.  Some fans choose Mike Brown and Troy Blackburn instead, simply mind numbing.  I guess if Burrow said he wanted better he can kick rocks too?  SMH

Absolutely correct.  I remember when this all went down.  Carson tried to force change.  The FO will never change.  Not for Carson, not for Dalton, not for Burrow and not for Chase.

How many years has Burrow been here?  How many hits has he taken in the last 2 games?  What did they do to help the D before the trade deadline?  How many scouts do we have?  Who is even the actual GM making the decisions?  No one really knows.  This FO is the biggest, inept joke in all of pro sports.

For those who are new Bengals fans, watch and weep as the seasons go by and they waste/ruin Burrow and Chase while changing nothing.  Rinse, lather, repeat.  I have 35 watched seasons of proof behind that comment.

Yes, Saint Carson was so magnanimous in his actions

Nope Burrow would not fall into the "kick rocks" category if he wanted better facilities. If he abandoned his teammates then yes.

But folks around here have underestimated Burrow's tenacity ever since he entered the draft. I don't see him giving up on his teammates after signing a large contract.

Shake your head all you want.

I applaud Carson for trying to force change.  You have to seriously try to be as bad as this FO has been the last 35 years.  Almost statistically impossible, yet the band of merry inept fools who run this org find a way.  It all starts at the top.

What is the strawman? Seems I remember Carson jumping right in the middle of the bandwagon when the current team headed to the Superbowl.

WTS, it's old news you guys go ahead.

I could sense Palmer didn't want to be here when he got drafted and why would he especially back then? Still, never cared much for the guy's personality - met him a few times at training camp. Kitna was way cooler.

Remember burrow’s face when being selected? Very similar.

Haven't met Burrow but yeah that entire draft was a drag with the pandemic. Don't think anybody was really excited about that one. I know a lot of talking heads (and Palmer) were saying not to come here and I was fine with Herbert and the extra #1's if Burrow chose not too.

FWIW my post history also shows I wanted Lamar.
