Possible Zac Taylor replacements

Yep, I remember we brought in one guy I liked.

Cannot see it, at all.

We fix the line in FA he has an eye for talent at CB WR 2 positions extremely valuable that you can get on cheap contracts early.

Deion is about the opposite of everything the Bengals would look for in a coach.

Certainly would change things up big time if we did bring in Deion. I do know him and Adam Jones are good friends.

both had big runs against those stealer bastids. Man, would I love it to someday to just run it down their throat at will, but that will probably
never happen with Zac calling plays even if our RB's are running all over them.

And for those that are diehards and even played the game, you HAVE to run the ball even for the slightest advantage of keeping the DL/LB's on their heels even slightly. We see how hits JB takes. Can you imagine how many more without a good run game yesterday?

They really got away from it just prior to the 1st JB fumble when he was scrambling to the right. They had 1 run play that entire drive and it went for 10-12 yards. So what do they do with a POS OL, they continue to throw the ball. It's either complete arrogance of ZT or he's really just ignorant.

A great number of the great plays on offense has been Burrow creating when the play doesn't work out. Especially with him and Chase, understandably. It wasn't being trained, coached up or catching lightening in a bottle. Burrow and Chase we all time greats and champions before ever becoming Bengals. Does anyone think they would be worse elsewhere? The lipstick on this pig.

After reading this comment, there is no doubt Belichick will be replacing Anarumo as DC.  Everything Eric1 states as fact has ended up being the exact opposite.  Although I cant see Bill wanting to coach for Mike Brown, or have any desire to be a DC, not to mention his coaching style being in direct conflict with Zac's, the fact that Eric1 is so arrogantly wrong so often I have no choice but to go against my common sense and ride the Eric1 Embarrassingly Wrong Take Train.

?

Belichick didn't have a below average scoring defense in NE since 2005, and he never had them below 17th in his 24 years there. Without Tom Brady they still had the 7th, 2nd, 11th, and 15th scoring defenses despite Mac Jones doing absolutely nothing to help the defense (27th and 31st in 3rd down conversion those last two years).

I agree Bill isn't coming here, but you just outright made up some nonsense after that.

Look, there is ZERO need to replace ZT. His offense is killing it. His QB has developed into a top 5 player in the entire league. His WR is the #1 at his position. ZT should turn over play calling to Pitch or, better yet, Burrow so he can focus on big picture and game management.

Pollack, Lou - and His entire staff need to go. Hell, throw in Simmons, too. Tired of watching his position group choke more than not.

BTW, let's not let Simmons off the hook for blowing the draft pick of the mustache guy.... WHOM HE WAS ABOUT TO CUT ungrateful rookie Rekhow before Mustache pulled his labia. REHKOW is the 9th best punter in the league this season.... Mustache would be, like, 30th.

^ Honestly, that sums the Bengals up. Stupid, shortsighted choices. Wasted draft pick and a nearly squandered 9th best guy at his position. Field position KILLED them last seaosn and Simmons was about to go "business as usual"... F him.

I'm not saying fire Zac but if Katie said they were going to go with say Aaron Glenn at HC I'd get behind that. Burrow and one of the better defensive minded coaches in the NFL. (They also wanted to hire Glenn as a DC when Zac was first hired.)

Burrow and Chase were 2/3 of the greatest college offense of all time. I think you’re giving Taylor a little too much credit for their success.

Not an unfair take.... It's like if someone got Grant Hill & Christian Laettner one year after another.

One thing I've noticed around here is folks giving Zac too much credit.

Totally. Did you hear he went to the SB & AFCCG game? It should probably be brought up once in a while. Ninja

I’d welcome Bill as long as he couldn’t bring any of his offensive coaching tree. Or run personnel.

Only thing that’s going to move the “things are different” needle for me is firing Tobin.

We have to wonder if this is a desirable landing spot for a HC given the publicity beating the family is taking for not resigning their star receivers et al

If the true root of the issue of this team is a lack of talent in too many spots then we truly do not know who's really to blame.

Should good coaches be able to coach bad talent into a winning team?  Maybe, but we do know the defense has not been good for 2 straight seasons. So defensive coaches have to be addressed.

Does Tobin suck at drafting or is he severely limited by ownership?  We may never know if this tiny scouting department is what Tobin wants, as he would never speak against ownership while employed. We do know it is the smallest and has experienced more than its share of misses.

Does Tobin suck at free agency or is he severely limited by ownership?  We have evidence of Mike Brown's pathetic penny pinching and refusal to offer guaranteed money.  Again, Tobin wont come out and state how limited his ability to bring on free agents truly is while employed by this current ownership.  Add to that the fact that there is zero doubt that we have the smallest pro scout department in the league as well.

I have been accused many times of living in the past with my critical comments regarding ownership.  That said, I believe that 3 decades of cheapness and lack of investment are more than enough to make my claims credible.  I truly believe that Burrow and Chase, along with Trey's pass rushing, are great enough to carry this team very far as long as the the supporting cast is even slightly above league average.  We witnessed that for 2 seasons.

Until we have new owners that are serious about investing in winning then we will forever be on a roller coaster of disappointment that will on occasion deliver a couple years of hope and excitement followed by imminent and immediate frustration.

The defensive staff is not very good, Duke probably isn't very good, but the front office and ownership are absolutely bad.
