Get Matt Eberflus for DC if Anarumo departs
#1
Matt Eberflus was just released from HC duties from the Bears this morning.
However, some coaches are meant to be OCs or DCs, and Eberflus flourished as a DC in Indy.

During his 4-year stint in Indy, he had a Top 10 defense in Points Allowed 3 times.
That defense has dropped to middle-of-the-pack or worse since his departure.

If Anarumo does end up getting let go at some point this (off)season, Eberflus is someone I would call up ASAP to replace.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

The Bears join the Panthers and Jets in the coaching search merry-go-round. The 3rd year coach was let go after losing on Thanksgiving just a couple of weeks after his offensive coordinator got the ax. Thomas Brown who started the season as passing game coordinator and most recently as interim offensive coordinator is now the acting head coach.

Not surprising at all especially after that horrendous clock management at the end yesterday.

He has the credentials but that presser quote was mind blowing.  It's only one play, and I know you want to sound confident but don't lie to the world and say that it was the right thing to do.  Just say you were caught off guard and didn't think to call the TO.  I'd be for his hire if he owned up to mistakes.

I want a new secondary coach as well.

Watching Colarodo, now. Completely forget we lost our secondary coach to the Buffalos this off season. Explains a lot.

We need to flip a few positional coaching jobs. Pollack should be gone too.

Obviously he was in over his head as a HC, but he showed good promise as a DC. Let Zac handle the bulk of the speaking at pressers and just hand Eberflus a pre-scripted card to read when it's his turn to speak.  Cool

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Does it explain a lot? Our secondary was horrible last year too.
