I think it’s a product of the culture we live in and his generation.

Damn products of the culture and modern generation in the... *checks notes*.... 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, etc, etc....

At least our grandparents won WW2... All I ever did was drink from hoses, not be strapped in a car seat, and generally be neglected by my parents... But yeah. This current generation doesn't stack up to mine.

Maybe Burrow can be a crime fighter with the Bat mobile if this quarterbacking doesn’t work out.

It's his life and his money.  He should do with both as he pleases.

Dude, I never said otherwise. I said it was a stupid purchase, I never said he wasn't allowed to make it.

Well, since Joe pays the guy to advise him what to do with his money... and that's his job... then probably yeah!

Joe will not be the first rich man to invest in exotic car.

He makes over a million dollars a week, think he will survive the purchase.

If Joe put his signing bonus of 40 million in a simple high yield savings account he would make like 1.5 to 2m in just interest a year lol.

Well I mean our society's love/hate obsession with the ultra rich is more P&R territory, but yes.

Joe's net worth already exceeds the $40 million suggested so he can still do that but it seems a strange comparison, $1.5 - $2.0 million a year compared to the million a week being made that was referenced. Just don't get comparing a possible made $2 million a year to a guaranteed $52 million a year.

Plus like you said the Wizard of Oz Ruby Red Slippers went for $28 million so this could be a great investment. If not he only loses 3 weeks pay and will survive. Plus has a cool Batmobile to play with that will always be worth something even if not more. .

The difference is the money he makes weekly is game checks he works for that. The money from interest that's 2m a year for just having money. There's a point where you can have enough money that it's damn near impossible to spend in a year more than you make in just interest.

Need a real good tax guy then to find you some good loopholes and tax credits. Just looked up the taxes on $2m of income (savings account interest is considered income) and between federal, FICA, state, and local, you're talking $867.4k. I mean, you're not going to be struggling on $1.132m/yr, but that'd be brutal to see 43.37% of your money just fly away (plus an eventual sales tax on when you spend your remaining income).

He'll realize it once he retires...

Definitely better things to spend 3 million on.... seriously.

For half a 1 million he could have customed made a replica if anything.

Yes, but those are really the red slippers from the movie, which is listed as one of the all time greats. These ten Batmobiles are being made and are replicas, and his is not the only one. You could probably buy a replica of those ruby slippers at Kohls for 20 bucks.
