As noted in another thread Logan Wilson had knee surgery this morning. Per Zac, he is likely heading to IR. Orlando Brown is doubtful for Monday

For the Cowboys, OL Zach Martin is out

This is about the time in a season where players start making business decisions.

And I don't blame them.

Maybe "sick" of playing football?  Or possible he has Trey Wayes disease.

My guess is mono. It takes months for the spleen to not be in danger.

I feel like the Charlie Jones Bengals era is going to be a short-lived one.

Hopefully longer than the Sheldon Rankins era.

They may actually know but without Sheldon's permission they can't say anything specific.  The fact that not one member of the media has thrown out the idea that he may be faking it probably means he is really sick

If this is truly the case, why not just put him on IR and bring someone else up and see what they either have or don't.  It's not like Rankins has done much anyway.

I have no idea. I know it does not usually take a month to get over the flu, or even covid. So if it is truly a virus, then it almost I would think it almost has to be mono. The spleen enlarges and is at risk of rupture if hit for a long time. I guess it could be covid and he is just tired or still not breathing well, but as young as he is I would tend to doubt that.

He's been superb for us on STs in his career, but he's seemingly fragile for a slot guy/returner, so who knows.

He was a low pick and is getting paid little, so to keep him around isn't a big deal, IMO.

One of my sons, who is quite the athlete and competes in a variety of sports, including triathlon, and is in his early-30s, got long-term COVID at a competition in Europe and is still feeling the effects 1 year later. He took a trip to Colorado 6 months after getting COVID and his blood oxygen levels got so low (hospice levels) that he ended up in the hospital for days. So, it could be COVID. Hits everyone differently.

or Rankins could have had a seemingly mild virus that ended up with a complication like Guillain-Barre syndrome
