I'm going Simpsons to see if it is entertaining to watch since this isn't a high stakes game for the Bengals. The playoffs aren't happening and a loss isn't leading to a top three pick. I might as well check it out.

I've never been into the alternate broadcasts. Even something as simple as the manning cast. I watch the game to watch the game, not to hear Owen and Luke Wilson talk about unrelated stuff while the game is on in the background.

I am curious to see what this Simpsons thing is, but I will watch the vast majority of the game in its normal broadcast form.

I am with you no this. I cant stand the Manningcast.

Can someone explain the Simpsons thing to me? Is it going to be the game being shown inside the Simpsons living room and them talking about thegame or something?

The Manning cast is interesting when they talk ball, especially about QB play. I learn intricacies about the game listening to them.

Agreed though, I don't care about LL Cool J's favorite players as a kid or whatever randomness is discussed.

I don't know exactly what it's going to be, which is why I am at least intrigued.

Here's what one quote from the producers says:

Quote:While the game is the focal point, the alternate broadcast, in some ways, will resemble a three-hour episode of “The Simpsons.” It starts with Homer eating too many hot dogs and having a dream while watching football.

Homer joins the Cowboys in the dream while Bart teams up with the Bengals. Lisa and Marge will be sideline reporters.

“That’s the beginning of the story, and the story continues through the entire game until Homer wakes up from his dream at the end of the game. It is like a complete story, and the NFL game will happen in between. It’s just going to be an amazing presentation with tons of surprises,” said Michael “Spike” Szykowny, ESPN’s VP of edit and animation.
And apparently the game itself will be animated:
Quote:The telecast will be entirely animated, with the players’ movements in sync with what is happening in real-time on the field. That is done through player-tracking data enabled by the NFL’s Next Gen Stats system and Sony’s Beyond Sports Technology.
It all seems incredibly ambitious.

Disney+ and ESPN+. And it will remain on Disney+ for a month, so you don't need to watch it live to see it.

Ah, okay, thanks CJD. I have Disney+ so I will watch it later regardless of if we win or not. Kind of hoping we lose anyways so we can
get a higher pick in the Draft, but we will probably mess it up and go on a win streak to end the season ha ha

The 9-8 season, missing the playoffs due to tiebreaksers and the #18 pick in the draft (I.E. the saddest pick) is coming. Just prepare for it.

I'm holding out hope!

When we get a win tonight and then keep winning, we have a shot because the Broncos don't have the easiest remaining schedule with the Colts, Chargers, us, and then the Chiefs!
