Injuries-Week 15
#1
Joe Burrow-knee is sore but will practice
Orlando Brown-still day to day with his fibula
Sheldon Rankins-week to week so look for him to be out again this week-unknown virus
Joe Bachie-injured his groin and is out for several weeks

We are now seriously thin at linebacker. The only back ups at that position are newly elevated Shaka Heyward and UDFA pre-season favorite Maema Njongmeta.

Trey lined up several times at LB in the Dallas game after Bachie's injury. Lou is going to have to be creative with the personal. I wouldn't be surprised to see both Johnson and Rogers elevated for the game. I realize they are both defensive lineman but as I said...Lou is going to have to be creative

JFC what kinda virus he got?!
Part of me wonders if it's COVID and they are being cautious but it's been like a month now, right?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Why hasn't Rankins gone on IR.

Rankins and Orlando both need and have needed to be on the IR.

Rankins has missed 4 straight now.
Orlando has missed 5 of the last 6 (and played poorly and clearly hurt in the 1 he didn't).

Orlando for sure...they knew he had a broken fibula
Rankins is a 20/20 hindsight thing.  No one expects a month long illness

But the reality is, putting them on IR probably would not have changed their personnel decisions. With the expanded PS size and elevations, they can work around injured players staying on the 53

Cody Ford has been added to the injury report with an illness. He is questionable for tomorrow

A 3rd string LT protecting Burrow on a gimpy knee. Fun times.

I was already worried enough about Simmons vs these guards.

I mean, injuries have hit OT pretty hard this year: Kirkland, D'Ante Smith, T. Brown, O. Brown, and now Ford.

Seems the norm with a most NFL teams at this point in season, alot of starters out or on IR

Ah, the perks of having a sketchy OL. One not-great player like Ford goes out? No big deal. We can get another not great player to replace him.

See. It's fun.
