Scouting The Bowl Games
The ND/PSU had some stars. Carter is a top 5 pick and showed why in both topping the run and rushing the passer. Warren looked great again. Singleton would be a nice day late day 2 or 4th round pick.

Love has been injured, but I think he will make a good NFL RB, he has speed, athleticism and toughness. I also love Xavier Watts, he showed again he is a solid tackler taking down Warren one-on-one several times.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Jack Kiser is an underrated part of that ND defense. He has an absurd amount of college starts at the MIKE.

DraftBuzz has him their 17th ranked TE w/ a UDFA status. I said it the first time I saw him. I must be missing something. He was THE offense in the first half for a team going to the National Championship Game.

The PSU RB looked good too

Nick Singleton us a straight line runner but he's very fast. Heads up blocker and good route runner for 3rd downs. He doesn't finish like a big back though.

Kiser has been at ND for I believe 6 years so an older prospect. Yes, he is a very good college player, but not sure if he can be a star in the NFL.

He could be a solid backup linebacker for a day 3 or UDFA pickup. Joe Bachie and ADG are both free agents.

Edit: Especially if the Bengals are going after Al Golden the ND DC.

I thought Singleton had 2 TD runs where he switched gears and went outside the LT for the score. He also had some nice outside runs, and I thought finished well. It was one game, but I thought he played very well against a very good ND defense.

We get to find out tonight in the Cotton Bowl who beats plays UND in the National Championship game: tOSU v. UT

UT:

JAKE MAJORS/C: Experienced Center with tons of experience and a reported nasty streak. Shoud be a good matchup on the interior

MATTHEW GOLDEN/WR: Has taken a backseat to Isaiah Bond most of the year, but is coming up big in the tourney

JAHDAE BARRON/CB: It will be fun to watch him tonight against tOSU WRs. Hopefully see some man to man w/ him and J. Smith

tOSU:

TYLEIK WILLIAMS/DT: A penetrating NT. Looking forward to the matchup between him and Majors

DONOVAN JACKSON/OT: DJ was a life-long OG, but OSU moved him to LT and he's done great. Hopefully not too good that we can't get him for the interior in rd3

QUINSHON JUDKINS/RB: The less heralded Thunder in tOSU backfield

At the half. Majors is doing a great job in the middle. The rest of the Oline is a different story.

Barron must be doing something good. I haven't heard Smith's name all night.

The LT for tOSU is looking great.

Cameron Williams with just the worst false step and no depth in a drop back situation. He should stay at Texas lol.

Shout out to Jahdae Barron held Jeremiah Smith to 1 catch 3 yards (with help).

I am a huge ND fan and hope they win it all.

But Big Ten has a shot at back-to-back championships. The SEC is great, but nice to see them not make it to the final.

As for the Penn State weighing in that ND should be forced to join a conference after all these years insinuating, they did not belong, kiss my..........

I am sure OSU will be favored, but as ND super fan who also likes Ohio State, I hope we see a great game...............ending in a ND win Smirk

Jake Majors more than lived up to his billing. He played one hell of a great game, had multiple blocks on a few plays.

Traveyon Henderson is much faster than I had previously noticed. I wonder if anyone got a radar number on that screen pass he took to the house?

Texas RBs double as fantastic receivers.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

He also showed he could shotgun snap through another player's leg to his QB perfectly. He seems very quick out of his snap,

I'd happily spend a 3rd on him and wouldn't complain with a trade back in the 2nd

Just out of curiosity, I wonder if he's any relation to former UT QB Johnny Majors?

His mph on a previous TD this year was at 21 mph. Pretty fast but just a tad slower than Chase Brown.
