Bengals playoff hopes may very well be in the Kansas City Chief's hands

Sorry, but i just can't bring myself to blame refs for anything. They all suck, all the time. It's just a loser mentality to blame games on them because they're not any good, ever, for anyone.

The Chiefs won a bunch of one score games because their QB is smart enough to turn into charlie checkdown with the game on the line and he's able to break the pocket and run for chunks when no one is open. We will see how charlie adapts when his HoF security blanket TE is no longer there.

Texans looked like trash today, not sure whats going on with CJ but he looked like  a rookie QB I(maybe still upset over Tank?)
The D looked dare I say worse then ours, Henry had wide open holes all day...

Oh no doubt they're a great team.

The ref thing is interesting. There's obviously bad calls in games. Missed holds. Questionable holds.

I see holds both for and against us in games. So one coukd make a case that every game is dictated by refs.

But, I think theyre just humans making calls in a fast game. They don't get replay like fans. And yes, they probably subconsciously favor the better players. Or atleast give them the benefit of the doubt.

Chiefs beat Bills at Buffalo - Highmark Stadium then Ravens at Baltimore - M&T Bank Stadium - they win with or with out home field advantage..

Because CJ Stroud is simply not that great a QB and vastly-overrated: I said last year that it was because of no tape, new system, etc. and that year 2 would be infinitely different.

And it has been.

If he truly is this great up and coming QB that people say he is, he will have a back to rookie form year, next year. If he stays the same or regresses, it was because of what I stated above.

And the Mixon love: he's been a non-factor for half of the season now, just like he was a factor for the first half. Chase Brown will have more scrimmage yards at the end of it all (unless he gets hurt) and he will have played less snaps than Mixon as well, when it's all said and done.

Smoke and mirrors team, that's all they are. The AFCS is an awful division.

EDIT* Sorry, got Mixon's and Chase's snaps mixed up: Chase will have about a game's-worth more snaps at the end of it all.

Tackles - the chiefs are on their 4th starting LT, who is actually their starting LG. Their RT is a penalty machine.
RB - Pacheco broke his leg against the Bengals in game #2 and just recently came back.
TE - No but Kelce is a shell of his former self.
WR - They lost Hollywood Brown in the preseason and their #1 Rashee Rice in game #4. Brown just came back and Rice is out till next year.
DB - They lost CB #2 in game #6 and he won't be back.

Burrow was not @50% the first 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 game. He's been healthy the entire year. The Bengals have had a legitimate chance to win every game they've played this year, in the 4th quarter, with the exception of the Eagles.
you are a adding a great deal of personal embellishment to make it seem that KC suffered the same amount  and scope of injuries ..They did not lose both starting tackles even though you dislike their RT..lol@ Hollywood brown..the past few years he's not much better than charlie brown...  Kelce is still playing at a very high level
...Our injuries on defense are 5 times that of the chiefs

As of today

The chiefs had 7 guys on defense that were out or on IR.

The bengals have 8 guys on defense that are out or on IR.

It’s not 5x, it’s probably not even 2x.

I get it. You like the excuses.

Try and refute the fact that the Bengals were in a position to win 5 of their losses this year, with the ball in their hands on a game ending drive.

If any one of those games results in a W, the bengals control their own destiny, and there is NOTHING any other team could do about it. The chargers game looms large right now, as had the bengals beat them, they would not only control their own destiny, they would have the tiebreaker, in the event the bengals did drop one of their final two.

That's what grinds my gears, the "shoulda-woulda-coulda" of the entire season.  Two additional wins and with a win over Denver we could be resting everyone at Pittsburgh.    Instead they'll have to go full bore and still likely end up on their couches in sweats the following weekend.

The New England game is the one that sting the most for me. But it is what it is and it sucks. I suspect we'll be all talking draft soon enough.

Well, they almost lost to Denver already. A short game winning field goal got blocked, in KC. A 2nd Denver loss would have to give Denver some confidence. Plus, knocking a divisional rival out of the POs is always fun. There is no Denver live in KC, I assure you.

They also already have lost to Buffalo. I'd fear the Bills more than us in KC's shoes. And I think we have a better chance to KO the Bills.

But they are gonna look out for #1. Guys with knocks will sit. But you cannot sit everyone. I'd want to build a bit more chemistry with Brown & Mahomes. Maybe a half? If they get a lead, it might hold up.

I still think KC has a better chance to beat Denver than the Colts do to lose again.

I'm not discounting what's being said here, but I'd also suggest that no team wants to hold open the door to the playoffs for a division opponent. So maybe KC's wariness regarding us is balanced against ending Denver's season. Maybe? Mellow
