The tackling was bad last year too, not as bad as this year but as TLL has shown Lou's Defenses were never really that great except in the 
Playoffs when they made big time plays at the biggest of moments. Bates is gone and was one of these guys, Reader was another, right now
against (as you say shitty Offenses) Lou's Defense is being opportunistic and it is helping him out big time.

I just wish we had a DC that didn't have rely on turnovers to help us win while we have an elite Offense.

If we had a top Defense this team would be the favorite to win the Super Bowl. We need a new DC for this to happen clearly.

The tackling is most definitely partly on the coach. Great Defenses under great Coordinators tackle well.
