The positions we need to replace 3T, CB #1, RG, FS, and off ball LB. Ill have more on this on my first mock but if we can improve those positions then we will be in a good place.
Personally, I think that they just need to re-sign BJ Hill and Hilton from the existing defense, sign one of RG or FS from the market, and see what money is left to upgrade at CB1 or LB. You're still ignoring needs at DE and TE. Hopefully we all realize that a draft class isn't going to give you 4-5 new starters, starters that will do well enough to get you to the Superbowl anyway.

It depends on how much we improve those positions and how we replace Tee! Tee isn't going to be easy to replace and if we don't resign him then we have to drastically improve those other positions instead of improving them marginally.

Not having Tee or a legit #2 who plays at a high level is an issue for this offense. The scheme is heavily dependent on the QB and WRs.

I promise you there are numerous college players in the draft this year that can transition to a number 2 in the nfl..problem is the bengals scouting department or lack thereof...and dont discount yoshi

Yoshi is a 4th option and a redzone specialist. Nothing more. He doesnt need to be anything more. He exceeded 6th round expectations already. Or 7th, whatever he was

I'm not letting a string of games against bad teams in December swaying me of my opinions on Frank Pollack and Marion Hobby.
I still want both of those dudes replaced.
I also don't really care for Geno Stone even though he's now up to 4 INTs thanks to INTs in the DAL, TEN, and CLE games recently.
I'd prefer for him to be replaced, but I could see Bengals thinking he may be just finally getting acclimated to the team and they want to keep him on board for next year (final year under contract).
Cut Rankins please. Worthless signing.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

100% this.
Iosivas is a 4th option and that's ok.
Exceeding his draft stock, being WR3 in just his 2nd year as a 6th round pick.
Bengals will just need to worry about who will replace Higgins and/or Gesicki as 2nd/3rd option if either/both leaves in FA.

Well, I completely disagree with the first part of your statement. BJ needs to be replaced as a starter and I'm confident in D.Hill as Hilton's replacement.
RG is a must improvement and so is FS.
If we resign Ossai then I think were solid at Edge( I would add an a early draft pick at that position as well) and TE is solid if we keep Mike G.
An actual good LB would be nice to have and we need a reliable CB1.

Not to waste time outs, leaving you with less late in the game when they are needed more.

Let's just talk about that bolded for a moment. As it currently stands, BJ Hill is the top 3T to hit free agency this offseason as shown on Spotrac.
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/year/2025/position/dt/type/ufa/sort/contract_value
So tell me who, from that list are you counting on performing better than an all-out effort guy like BJ Hill, for same or lesser value?

New ownership who believe in hiring a quality FO that isn't all family, family friends, and family of family friends. Then letting them do their jobs.
New coaching staff and a new identity as a balanced tough physical football team.
I'll just keep dreaming, don't wake me up. Lol

Milton Williams or Osa Odighizuwa would be much better options at the 3T.

And you really think that the Bengals have a shot at outbidding their current teams, let alone the rest of the league, with JaMarr Chase and potentially Tee Higgins getting deals this offseason? I'm not sure that either of those two could even match BJ Hill's production numbers, let alone at a higher asking price.

What are you even talking about? What has BJ Hill done this season to make him a standout un replaceable player on this team? He is an ok player but not great. I would rather bet on a younger more athletic player that has shown to have elite traits then sign an ok aging player.
As to the second point; Yes I think the Bengals can pay either Williams or Odighizuwa big money in free agency.

Lol, you should go to Pro Football Reference and compare BJs numbers to the guys you are prospecting. Despite missing 2 games due to a hamstring injury, BJ Hill has had a really good year in tackles this year, with more season to play. His total numbers, even from his first 4 years as a pro, pretty much dwarf the accomplishments of the two that you are pimping. Change for the sake of change isn't always good.
The reason I made the comment about change for the sake of, is because it seems like you are just drawing at straws and hoping that someone new will be even better. The truth is that BJ Hill is a good player and a good fit on this team. That lack of respect for his effort and production is boggling.

Yeah, even though ownership won't change...the first priority should thanking Duke for his 26 years and replacing him with someone who has the freedom / authority to handle the football side of things. The problem is that Duke is basically family at this point will probably be here until he decides to leave.
