Triple Crown & Sack updates
#61
3 great players on this team, Burrow Chase and Hendricks, and one very very good player in Higgins. The rest of the team is subpar average at best. If we had just average players in most positions, this team would be superbowl bound.

I just looked up the NFL record for most catches in a season, unbelievable, 149 catches by Michael Thomas. I don't see that one broken for a longtime

I always like Darnay Scott catching those bombs

At some point they realized that if he ran a slant with Drew Brees at QB nobody could stop it, and I think that was also around when Brees' shoulder started dying and age was catching up. So they just kept doing it more and more.

Logan Wilson, Hilton, BJ Hill, Chase Brown, and Gesicki all grade out over 70 at PFF. That's well above average. Karras is an excellent pass blocker (top 5 for C's), and OBJ pretty good, more so for playing on a broken leg. But both a poor run blockers.

The rest of the CBs all grade outcas slightly above average in coverage (CTB, Hill, Turner, Hilton) except for Fig, who wasn't awful.

But the rest is mediocre, or worse. Though some younger guys show some promise (Mims, Jackson, All).

19. He dropped one last week, too. Dan Hoard asked him after the game last night if he was proud of 17 and Ja’Marr said no, it should have been 19. It’s the same thing with Burrow being all pissed off after he balled out against the Raiders. These guys strive for excellence, and aren’t happy with anything else.

Mayfield tosses a TD. 3 shy of Burrow, mid 3rd quarter.

Bucs down 16-13.

Thanks and just saw the Saints are up in a close one. We will see if they can keep Baker from throwing 3 more TD's...

I would pay money for Jeff Blake to throw some practice passes for us to watch lol. I wonder if he can still throw.

Well, the triple crown is all we have left to root for. Go Lions DB’s.

Vikes & Lions through one half - Jettas only 37 yards so far. Looking good.

yeah, I'm watching the game only to see if Chase gets the triple crown.

(Detroit fans sounded a little irate when Campbell decided to throw on 4th and mere inches and the pass was batted down.)

Amazing accomplishment for Chase. Simply amazing.

It is such a rare accomplishment, I thought it would be a headline on ESPN.com this morning. But crickets.

Chase going to ask Brown for his gold/platinum/diamond crown as part of the contract.

Burrow also won it, and Hendrickson was the sack leader.

Anti-Bengals bias at it finest. I remember it being a pretty big deal when Kupp did it. But ofc that was in LA.
