I mean, he did play for Cleveland, so the Francona connection is there. Lol

Gavin Lux has a real solid chance of absolutely raking at GABP! I'm not sur how they will get him into the lineup consistently, but I think he can excel in Cincy.

Nothing to see here Kevin or Tecmo. (Uses the force) These are not the late rd fantasy utility players that you are looking for.

I don't know how much stock I put in them, but if you believe Park Factors, the Dodgers are the 2nd most HR friendly park in 2024 and he had a career high of 10 HR. So it's not like he's going from a ballpark like Kansas City to GABP where it's a big difference in HR friendliness.

I wasn't really speaking of power numbers, the opposite actually. In GABP the outfielders play deep for the most part. I think you would agree with me on that one. He's a contact hitter that tends to get streaky. I can see him hitting a lot of singles and doubles at home.

As far as Chavez Ravine goes, let's take into account who's playing the most games and hitting in that park. Just the Dodgers and Padres lineups 1-15 are going to hit a shit ton of HRs in every park that they play in. Hence, with the power that is in that division alone, HR numbers should be elevated and particularly where the Dodgers play.

I remember Atlanta and Riverfront being called launching pads . . . yeah, they are when most of your pitchers suck. Not so many HRs when the pitching improved.

Saw this on farcebook so I have no idea how accurate it is but since this is how you fantasy guys communicate these days, I'm guessing that these number probably mean something.

I am hopeful the Reds find a way to bring in one of Mark Canha, Austin Hays, or Randy Grichuk now that there has been some movement in the OF market.

None of the three should break the bank and none of them should demand long term contracts, but they all bring the ability to play OF and hit left handed pitchers.

My preference would be Grichuk > Hays > Canha, but any of the three would improve this roster.

Ramon Laureano or Kevin Pillar wouldn't be bad either, although I've actually never heard of either of them before just searching for outfield free agents, so there may be a reason I haven't heard of them before now.

Ward (if the Angels are willing to deal him) or Profar (free agent) would be my top 2 choices at this point...with Grichuk and Hays being next. Another interesting trade option (although I'd prefer a right handed bat) might be Jesus Sanchez.

If we could get Ward for prospects rather than MLB players, I'm all for it. He is under team control for 2 years, so I like that it wouldn't be a rental trade.

Profar I am a little nervous about. I think the reason he hasn't signed yet is because he's looking for a longer term contract to cash in on his 1 truly good year and teams aren't willing to give it to him. He had so much hype when he was first coming into the league (he was the #1 overall prospect in 2013, I believe) and never lived up to it until last season, so my concern is he gets a 3 or 4 year deal and just goes back to his ~90 OPS+ self of the previous 10 seasons. Then we'd just be stuck with a high price tag guy for 3 years haha.

I have no idea if this organization is actually looking at adding more talent.  Outfield? No idea.  Logical assumption maybe?  Relief help? Eh, I guess.

They seem like a guy that goes to the used car lot every few days.  He tells all of his co-workers about all of the cars he's checking out.  How nice they'd look in front of his house.  The sales prick who's coked out of his gourd and talks to everyone can't even stand him anymore.  He's just there to loiter and be seen.

Worst of all, he keeps telling his long suffering wife (the fans) about how one day he's gonna come home with a new ride.  Just keep driving that 92 Camry with the tape deck another month or two.  Hope is barely alive, but talk is constant and full of references to hard financial circumstances.

Meanwhile, this gaslighting asshole is taking half his paycheck and blowing it on shady crypto and lottery tickets.  There is no money left except for his cut, and his cut is the priority above all else.  Nobody gets to see his direct deposit, so they are none the wiser.  It's an interesting process.

EDLC rumored to be the cover athlete for MLB The Show 25. There isn’t a curse attached to THAT, is there?

I don't think we need to worry about a curse. Ownership's choices far exceed anything worse than cruel fate brought on by a curse.  Hilarious

Nah, don't think so. It's largely been if the player is great they keep being great (Ohtani, Guerrero Jr, Tatis Jr). If the player is just a flashy overrated player they generally aren't because they're flashy overrated players (Chisholm Jr, Baez).
