It was easier back when we didn't beat playoff/winning teams, wasn't it?
this is just my opinion. All year even before the 5 game winning streak, they were only able to beat bad qb's and bad teams. Nothing changed down the line. Cincy was more desperate than denver and pittsburgh. Neither pitt or denver were in a must win situation
just my opinion though. You can believe what you like. This roster needs an overhaul, so does a couple coaching positions.
Certainly if Mike Brown retains the coaches that should go, well... I wouldnt be surprised. They ended on such a hot streak!

A new GM is what they need. Good FA signings, good draft and someone to put all of the coaches on notice.
Won't happen.

The kick I'm referring to was the home game against the Ravens when Money Mac was forced to kick a 52-yard. That was all on Zak when you have a pro bowl all World quarterback and you just run the ball into the teeth of the defense three times from the 35 yard line that's terrible management
Although, to take it a step further, the end of the game clock management by Taylor against Denver was absolutely atrocious and he won despite himself. Don't care how inconsistent York is or can be I'll take him all day running the clock down to just a few seconds left in order to kick a 22 yard field

And if Burrow had thrown the ball and it was intercepted, the same people complaining about this would be complaining about why he didn't just run it and then kick the 35 yarder.

7th seed didn't exist until the 2020 season and being 9-8 didn't exist until 2021 season. Somehow, in that time, winning in week 18 with a chance for the #7 seed is considered to be ok by some.

If someone said we finished the season with a 5 game win streaks and Burrow Chase Higgins and Hendrickson played like they did I would have thought we won the SB. This coaching staff is pathetic

I don't know about overhaul, but certain positions/players, yes.
Ideally (for me):
- both OG spots
- 2 DT spots (could do just 1 starter, 1 rotational guy)
- 1 DE
- 1 new safety
- 1-2 new CBs
- A WR2 if Higgins leaves
- A receiving TE if Gesicki leaves
Should be able to get 2-3 of those from the draft who can contribute early as rookies, leaving just a handful that need to be addressed in FA.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

You just listed 6-10 spots out of 22 (27-45%), Ocho. That's an overhaul.

Just put out the narrative that KC took the cowards way out..

I guess that's where the definition of an overhaul needs to be stated.
3-5 players on defense and 2-4 players on offense doesn't feel like the extent of an "overhaul" to me.
Higgins and Gesicki can cover WR2 and TE1, resulting in just potentially 2 starters really needed for offense (both OG spots).
For defense, they do have Stone under contract one more year and Hubbard/Murphy to cover that DE spot opposite of Hendrickson.
Due to the lack of head-and-shoulders upgrades in FA for FS, it may make the most sense to get a new safety in the draft, even if it means keeping Stone for his final year.
Same with DE.
The only 100% clear must-cut guy, in my eyes, is Sheldon Rankins.
He provided no value for the team in 2024 and would free up about the most $$ from any cut the Bengals would potentially do.

Lol. Maybe you shouldn't ever get in the car and drive somewhere or never cross the street or always have your head on a swivel? Do you seriously want to play that game?
You got the best quarterback in the game. You got the best receivers in the league. You need another seven or eight yards to make it a very comfortable kick especially with a kicker who's been declining. You get your quarterback away from the rush or get him on the edge a little bit and you complete something short like a dig pattern, a sit down or a quick out.
Your job as a head coach is to get your players in position to be successful and relying on a 52-yard kick is not that.
