DC/OL wish list
(4 hours ago)007BengalsFan Wrote: Let me see if I have this correct, the plan is to fire Lou so we can turn around and hire his former LB coach keeping the Lou/Zac coaching tree in Cincinnati because Golden is familiar with the Brown family and coach Taylor.  I hope this is not the case.  Geting rid of Lou to hire his LB coach that has no NFL DC experience strikes me as odd but wouldnt be a bit surprising.

I see lots of fan speculation. Of course, Bengals FO is always tight lipped, so those who say they know any plan to replace coaches needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

We will know the actual plan when the new hires are announced.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Suppose I asked the folks complaining about the possible Golden hire. If they would have preferred Golden over Lou at the end of the season, what do you think they would say?

Zim had me at hello.

Hopefully Zac return his text and at least pick his mind.

I’d still prefer to let Zim ride off into the sunset of the jungle. He’d need a veteran D to have a quick turnaround. And would bring back Guenther. I’m not feeling nostalgic enough for the a rerun of the greatest hits.

But it was good to hear from him.

I’d find it highly unlikely Zim makes a return and I certainly hope not. Time passing and all that.
