Why are we interviewing well-documented assberries with headsets?

I saw someone on X state that when they come out with two minorities right off the bat to fulfill the Rooney rule the 3rd interview is likely their top choice. We’ll see.

Which makes the rule ridiculous and wastes the coaches time and maybe giving false hope. I’m not black, but I think I would feel insulted.

On the contrary, at a minimum it gives those coaches opportunities to work on their presentation skills for interviews as well as add to their resume the number of teams that they have been considered by.

Livingston knows the AFCN. Who else would they think would be willing to keep the secondary coaches? Or any of the defensive assistants?

That’s a sign. Or they really screwing over the remaining defense assistant coaches by not letting them get shots at some of these other openings.

If they have no intention of hiring them, and they told them that, do you think they’d say, “No problem. Looking forward to honing my presentation skills.”

I believe in a strictly merit based system myself.
Racism isn’t as present as they say it is.
Most people believe in investing in good people regardless of what they look like. Thats a merit based system.

If you learn and get good at what you do you will do better in life.
