Congratulations All-Pros Trey and Ja'Marr
#1
Ja'Marr Chase and Trey Hendrickson were named to AP's 1st team ALL-Pro teams. Ja'Marr was the top vote-getter along with Justin Jefferson at WR. Trey was the 2nd Edge guy after Myles Garrett (Watt was 3rd). Joe Burrow is honorable mention after Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson

All hopes turn to next year

I cannot wait until Josh Allen inevitably loses to KC once again. He had a great year, but it has to be the most overrated season in a while

Pretty much had to make it when you're a Triple Crown receiver and sack leader.

What justifies Jackson and Allen both over Burrow?
Burrow beats them both in about every QB metric except Jackson has a better QB Rating than Burrow.
Hopefully it's not based on wins, as the Bengals just narrowly missed the playoffs and just a few losses more than the other two guys.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

these qb awards are win based. And I have a feeling Trey isnt gonna win dpoy based off of "wins"

The bolded is probably a big factor. Jackson put up the 4th highest single season rating in NFL history. All three guys ahead of him won MVP and had AP1. Nick Foles is 5th but only started 10 games. Plus the 915 yards rushing.

so explain Allen over Burrow. Wins I guess, right?

That's the only thing I can think of. Allen had a great season, but I don't think he had an AP1 type season given the field.

3,700 yards passing
28 TDs
101.4 rating
531 yards rushing and 12 TDs

To be fair, I didn't think Lamar put up an MVP worthy season last year, but here we are. I think Lamar should win MVP this season but Allen is the favorite to win that. Strange selections.

reeks of narrative pushing. Nothing about Allen's season deserves mvp when compared to Lamar. I think Goff has a stronger mvp case than Allen too. I really dont know how he gets all pro over Burrow unless those wins really matter

Who did Allen have at WR? Those who attack Allen, he had no true #1 WR until they got Cooper later in the year and then Cooper was hurt and missed games.

We won't know, but how would Burrow have done throwing to Shakir as best option for most of the year?

I love Burrow, the reality is the AFC has great QB's.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

Not a fan of Josh Allen and his flopping, but to fair to him in terms of performance against KC, he had a great game in the 2021 AFC Divisional Round and the Bills had KC beat save for the 13-seconds miracle by Mahomes. Worked out well for the Bengals, of course, who played KC and the supposed "grim reaper" the next week.

I don't know who in the Bengals front office decided it was good to wait until this offseason to finalize Chase's extension, but that person should be fired immediately. Triple Crown. Unanimous all-pro.

Jackson had the best running game to take heat off him as a passer.
Burrow had the best receivers.
Allen had the best OL.

Shouldn't matter for All-Pro.
All-Pro has always been about individual performance (I thought).
We've seen dudes make All-Pro who were on losing teams before.
I guess only QBs are judged on wins and losses, eh? :)

Pretty sweet, Ja'Marr without a doubt is the best WR in the NFL right now. Justin is right there with him but after Ja'Marr's triple crown it is
clear who is the #1 like it used to be at LSU. Trey won the Sack race but over all he isn't as good as Myles so I understand him being 2nd to
him. Twatt is asshole but he is damn good even if he is off sides all the damn time and not called for it.

Joe had a better season than Josh stats wise by a large margin. Understand Lamar in front of Joe though.

Strange, I am rooting for Josh over them Chiefs all day every day. His stats aren't nearly as good as Joe but Josh and the Bills can beat the
Chiefs and I am hoping they do so. I don't understand how you cannot wait to see the Chiefs in the Super Bowl again. Dislike that team nearly
as much as the stealers.
