Loveland fits as a pass catcher with major upside kind of like Kincaid but maybe even better and we were interested in him until the Bills took him. I like Tyler Warren the best and Erik All won't play this year but he is likely gone before 17. There are quite a few good TE's in this Draft, a lot better TE Draft than WR Draft in terms of depth.

The hope is Tanner McLachlan shows enough to knock Hudson off the roster this off-season.

Great news Tanner Hudson and Jaxson Kirkland signed this week. Next week it is Trayveon Williams and Joe Bachie. Love the effort the Bengals management is putting in to get our star players re-signed and extended.

Definitely possible, but didn't see much of McLachlan as a rookie to know. McLachlan is almost as old as Hudson which is crazy. Hudson is good at getting open in zone. McLachlan would have to show he can do the same. (03-07-2025, 05:47 PM)007BengalsFan Wrote: Great news Tanner Hudson and Jaxson Kirkland signed this week. Like a team doesn't need depth/backups or special team players (Hudson played 77% special teams snaps last year). I don't think anyone expects Hudson to take on a primary role and most know what we have with him at this point. Now if the Bengals signed him to a 10 million dollar extension I'd not be happy with that. He made less than 2 million last year and I'm guessing he is going to get about the same this year. I definitely understand the significance of back of the roster players. It's just that you'd think that a professional organization like the Bengals could have done about a dozen of those deals in a day, and got back to work on the priority stuff. ![]() Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations -Frank Booth 1/9/23

Who says they are not working on the priority contracts at the same time? Those are usually much more complex and take more time. All the different bonuses, when they will kick in, guaranteed money and such. All the back and forth between players, agents and team. Where someone like Hudson who will probably play for close to league minimum is more like, "Hey you want to make about 2 million and play here again this year?" Re-signing Hudson doesn't mean that is all the team has been working on. ![]() ![]()

Bringing Hudson back is an okay move. I'll wait to pass judgment on the front office until after free agency and the draft. My motto, when it comes to the Bengals brain trust is, "Hope for the best yet prepare for the worst and keep expectations low".

To me, it is the entire off season. For some if we don't have a huge add in FA by Monday (1st day of tampering period), the sky will be falling. i trust the FO more than most. In my old age I try and be patient and hopeful. I love our Bengals and hating or not trusting the front office is counter productive for me as a fan. Sometimes in life hope is all we have. It we have no hope, all is lost. ![]() Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Well we have done some of the low end guys: Rehkow, Adomitis, Hudson, Grandy, Kirkland, and J. Davis.
If you can get a guy done before FA truly starts, do it. We still need starter level guys at: DT: 2 DE: 1 (2 if Trey leaves) OG: 2 (1 if you think Volson is a starter) ----------- TE: 1 (I think Sample is backup level). And that is not even mentioning Yoshi ranking dead last at PFF amongst 98 qualified WRs nor the situation at S. Or CB. And we still need depth at OT & RB. And LB looks thin, even with Pratt. And McPherson was pretty shaky last year and makes a lot. 6-7 starter level guys is asking a lot. Almost all in the trenches/lines.
