Bengals are nowhere close to deals with Trey, Tee or Ja'Marr
#1
Ari Merov says the Bengals are not close to deals with all 3....Guess this front office hasn't changed...

The moment they said they plan on making Chase the highest paid non QB its like....duh. It took that to resign him and he had a triple crown year. So the fact that they had to tell us that sounds more like telling the fans they tried when in reality its closer to 40M maybe. I can't fault them for not wanting to give Trey a ton of guaranteed money in his twilight but he IS your defense.

So, I'd Burrow is indeed restructuring you have to take him up on what he wants done with the money. He is bigger than the Bengals and you have to keep him happy. If that means paying more than what you want to on Tee or Chase so be it, ger over yourself. Then, if you're making trades and signings to build a defense, I'm not against trading Hendrickson if they're that far apart. That would include though trading a 2nd or 3rd this year though to get a star to replace him. We can't go into the season worried about him retiring or sitting.

It'll be a shock if they get any done. Some of what Tobin is saying is fluff to make sure the fans don't completely turn on the FO. Tee's reaction to him saying they want to keep him long term said it all. He seemed to seem surprised as if they weren't even talking. Trey sounded like they at least were talking though.

The likelihood that none of them get an extension this offseason is probably greater than anyone other than Chase getting one.

They screwed up not getting the deal done before last season. Now they will have to pony up 40 mil per year for Ja'Marr, just pay the man
his guaranteed money. With Trey if we cannot get a deal done I could see him being traded as he has a lot of value currently and this is a
very deep draft for DL and with some more picks we would have a much better shot at hitting on someone. Too bad, as I want Trey here
but this DOES make sense.

Tee we will see on, just glad we tagged the guy so we can get something for him if he does leave or we can work out an incentive laden
extension where he gets paid like the best #2 in the NFL if he stays healthy. So much more money for so many more games played etc.

Or trade Tee, either way Mike G needs to be brought back IMO.

Why pay less now when you can be ignorant and pay more later or pay nothing and watch your best players walk?

They will get at 2 out of the three deals done and I would bet they get Tee done before the start of free agency on Wednesday. Trey, is  the odd man out. The question remains however; do they trade him or keep him on the current  contract?

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Trey's agent already demanded a trade right at Draft time last year. I think they trade him if they cannot get a deal done IMO.

I don't believe any of this... Bengals keep communication behind doors locked and sealed.

They have a plan.

Hope you are correct QueenCity. Would like everyone signed going into the Draft at the least. Before FA would be ideal.

Tee andTrey won't get re-signed and I am sticking to that.

This front office is a ***** joke. The could have had the Tee deal done two years agofor a fraction of the cost.

How on earth can you sit here and say that after they have fumbled this thing so hard already?

I will wait and let this all play out. Ja'Marr not getting extended was the big mistake to me.

I didn't say it was a good plan... Bengals tend to like to operate in there little safe zone.

I'm 110% positive Trey Hendrickson gets traded so perhaps that money is now going to Chase and Tee.  Or maybe they double down and trade Tee as well and try to rebuild through the draft and Free-agency.

Nick Wright casually called the Bengals an "unserious organization" and he's not wrong.

If they do trade Trey then they better get busy signing or trading for at least one proven pass rusher because no matter what they do they are not going to be able to replace Treys production with one guy. They will need two very good pass rushers to make up for his production (and those guys are not currently on the roster)

That also means their first round pick will no doubt be an edge rusher.

They need to get serious or they are going to piss off everyone including their franchise QB...

No, he's not.

I can just imagine Katie and Troy locked in their tiny offices swimming trying to get these deals done.

They are in completely over their heads.
