Perine Back
#21
I like Samaje. He was very effective when Cappa and Collins were healthy. Tough guy to bring down on 3rd and short.

I kind of wanted to see what Herbert could have done here. He seems like a guy that could help if given the chance. Oh well. Bigger fish to fry on this roster.

I'm aware of your "Sooner" knowledge. I expect that they will use him exactly as they have before. They'll find another RB with CBrown type of attributes to fill that role if needed, or at least I think they will.

That's how I would go about it anyways.

I would still bring back Herbert as he is a good runner. Better than Trayveon by a good amount.

But this Draft is stacked with good RB's so I would add a mid round RB as well and our RB room could be damn good this year.

Probably was looking to get back to the Bengals so he can be part of sticking it to the Chiefs this year.
Especially after Mahomes dissed him like that in the Super Bowl.

That would be pretty awesome if they were able to balance the offense and run the ball more.  Find a serviceable WR2 and I think we pretty much have all the pieces on offense.

We could buy 2-3 decent starters with the Higgins money.  Prolong Burrow's career as well.  I love it when they rip off a big run because they always have to worry about Joe and Ja'marr.

This! CB, Herbert, and SP is fine with me in a JB led offense.

Glad he is back. Was a big fan when he was here before just wanted him getting more touches.

If the Bsngals spend money on UDFA RBs this year Perine might not even make this roster.

I knew this was a deep RB class but that is saying something lol

I like this add. I feel Bengals cand draft Brown's backup in round 6, then cut Moss so we save money at the position, but improve the position.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Sure would like to see a more balanced Offense. Doesn't have to be 50/50 or anything just make Defenses worry about the running game a bit.

Would make this Offense nearly unstoppable. We will see if we trade Tee or not, was expecting a deal to be announced today for him so it is still
in the air evidently.

He’s not an I form runner like Mixon. But a great shotgun back.

That was 2 seasons ago. He was hardly used in the run game at Denver or KC. I’d have to look at the snaps but I don’t think it was #2 at either team. I’m tickled to death he’s back. I’ve met him but I worry if Chase goes down. But he knows the offense and great on pass protection and screens

Well shot in dark if he has hit that wall of 30, would have liked a young masher myself but he is a team guy and cheap

Samaje not being used a ton with both those teams is a great thing. Less tread on his tires. We know what kind of RB he is.

He ran like a beast for us his last season with us. Wanted him over Mixon after that season. He was much more consistent and much better in pass pro.

It’s been 2 years ago. Samaje is 30. I’m okay unless Chase goes down. There’s a reason why both Denver & KC rarely used him in the run game period.

Because he didn’t play much the last two years he should be healthy.

He proved he fits into our offense.

The deal is cheap.

I so no reason he can’t be a good backup.

Writing is on the wall for Zach Moss.

I like Perine back to go with Chase Brown.   Sometimes Perine was better than Mixon for Bengals.

Now let them roll with Brown, Perine, Herbert and a rookie, and finally, can we get rid of Williams and Evans please....

Wow. You watched film of him from 12-13 years ago when he was a 16-17 y/o high school player? I assume you passed that tidbit onto Tobin.
